Butch because ...

Butch because my girlfriend and several of my friends are transfem and someone’s got to make sure they get home safe

Butch because the children in my neighbourhood deserve to have safe adults in their life 

Butch because my friend is pregnant and needs help building a new crib 

Butch because I had to teach my brother how to shave his face and buy my sisters tampons every month 

Butch because life is hard but its easier knowing you have someone to lean on

We are your friends, your lovers, your neighbours, and the kind strangers. Butch because we were scared once too

And also there's something to be said about "femmes" who dream of being princess sugarbaby housewives while butches and masc women historically (and currently) are blue collar workers, underemployed, unemployed, or are unable to be hired in their careers. Old school femmes social & "corporate" acceptability means that we are going to be more upwardly mobile white collar service workers, office ladies, and breadwinners for a live in girlfriend/housewife, in many cases. I'm proud to have a service sector business that can support a butch while they can focus on executing their passions, that's the goal, it's a hugely fundamental aspect of traditional butch/femme. if you don't like the idea of doing that for your butch or will need a financially equal or pampered lifestyle? That's literally fine! Fem, not femme.
