#this is so real #a media can display a subject matter without 'glorifying' it #by god it can even show the subject matter as a appealing in some way w/o that necessarily being glorifying #if its an adult show for adults they probably expect you to have enough perception of the world #that they dont have to make something comically Bad or Evil for you to know #whether or not said thing is 'good' or 'bad' #i get why some people want more straightforward stories sometimes #but personally i get a lot of joy from watching stuff that doesnt assume i need shit to be explained to me #and bonus: you can come away from a work with your OWN interpretation even if it's not explicitly whats written on the tin
