Genuinely, SINCERELY, I'm SO glad people like dayroselane.com/hydrants BUT I didn't expect it to get very much traffic so I didn't really optimize it, and I almost immediately used up the free monthly quota from my web host 😭
how could I go about helping expand the geographic diversity present in your hydrant scans?
If you sincerely wanna contribute you could make a list of cool hydrants in your area (like on Google Maps or something) then email it to me!
I travel as much as I can so when I'm in your city I'll try to go out of my way to scan them.
I would say scan them and email me the models, but tracking them down is what makes it fun for me. I might start some similar project that's more crowdsourced, but I'm not sure what the subject would be yet.
I know it's going to mess up my tumblr "brand" or whatever but I'm going to start posting more of my photography on here. Taking photos is giving me a lot of joy lately and I wanna share them.
