When Kaz wasn't able to be a superhero, he became one of the people who saved the people.
When Kaz learned that he was going to be a villain instead of a hero? He was going to shoot himself into a black hole.
Once Kaz became a hero? He risked his life to find his best friend's mother— the strongest villain in the universe.
After they caught her, he learned that more heroes, his best and arguably only friends died, he reached out to fucking Davenport Industries.
He became so proficient in his powers because being a hero is what he's meant to do.
Kaz, like so many heroes before him (read: Chase, Skylar, Spin, Leo, etc.) went out on his own for the greater good, no matter how risky it was. It's a rite of passage for the job.
Kaz is meant to be a hero. That's why he never fit in great with normos. That's why he's so comfortable at Mighty Med. That's why he risks his life when he might need to.
they way they’re the only good thing in elite force
