His art style has been one of my favorites since I was a kid and was reading The Edge Chronicles. I've been going through Amazon and Half Price Book store to find his works so I can start collecting them. I hope I can share my love of these books and the wonderful whimsical art of Chris Riddell.

I've had this series pre-ordered and in my hostage pile since the beginning because I KNEW I would love it, but I didn't want to hang off that dreaded cliff 😭. I originally thought it to be a duology, but then Wisteria was announced and I thought I could hang on longer. 🫠

Alas! My Patreon members pushed it up my TBR with this request and I devoured it! I knew it I knew it I knew it! I'm making my way through Foxglove now, and I'm eating this up like a dark raspberry cake on a gothic spoon.

Gonna go to the bookstore for the first time in years and I'm bringing my darling baby boy. Gotta get this kid more books, I nearly have chicka chicka boom boom memorized. He's got a nice little library already but I want to fill up his shelves! I'm so happy my little guy already likes being read to more than TV. To be fair though he ignores the TV and just likes hearing us talk to him.

So I gotta buy him some books, like really good ones and fun ones.

Rebecca F Kenney has captivated me with her writing one book after another. I enjoy the crude language the characters throw at each other and the whimsical descriptions of the world I'm reading. The emotions are raw, fast, and defining when each character bares their heart and soul. The Wicked Darlings series and the books related to it tore into me unexpectedly. There were many things I wasn't expecting and the lore is rich and well thought out. I am looking forward to reading her other books and of course buying anything related to her books.
