Hah, last time i updated this blog was THREE YEARS AGO. I may go back through and organize this so it can function as an archive. Man, polygon was a fun time. Simone and the others and my lovely mutuals, I hope you are well.
Hey Simone and Clayton made an hour long documentary on an FMV game that came out after the cold war featuring a KGB major general and a CIA director playing themselves
It’s coming out next year, you can find more about it here
(1 of 2) yea jenna said she doesnt think it was union related but i still have a hunch it was : / they wont admit it but im sure it had something to do with it and pat's a senior and a fav and the most popular so theyre obviously not gonna fire him despite being vocal about unions and such. Jen said if it was a union thing, she'd sue. And dont even bother with their tiktoks 🤢 i watched one for the hell of it and it was so bad and unwatchable, idk wtf polygon is thinking
yeah, i honestly wouldnt be suprised if it Was a union retaliation thing despite what jenna has said. and yeah agree on polygon (both youtube and like actual website) fans not being a good demographic for tiktok. did we hear if it was like an actual firing or what with josh? i saw the going dark on socials (also follow his twitter) but all i've ever heard was that tara mentioned his leaving on a game awards stream
newest polygon update: we have decided to assassinate patrick gill, simone de rochefort and clayton ashley because some people still enjoy our youtube channel's content
Let's not forget that a very similar thing happened to Ashley Oh 3 years ago (laid off without warning completely out of nowhere). Jenna was not the first person Polygon has treated as disposable. Ashley was a warning shot, Jenna was a nuclear bomb that just went off. Polygon is actively digging their own grave and hurtling headlong down the path to obsolesence. They are harming themselves, their audience, and the people who work under them actively and mindlessly.
Hey y’all, I’m mad today because Jenna was legitimately one of my favorite members of the Polygon Cast and she’s basically one of the few things keeping me attached to the channel. So I’m gonna list some of my favorite Jenna things/moments here because IDK if there’s even a chance she checks Tumblr I want her to know that people appreciate her.
- Her GMing during the Cyberpunk Red Series is what inspired me to check out RPGs outside of D&D. I’m planning my own Cyberpunk Red game atm and I would have never even wanted to try it without seeing Jenna set an excellent example with her own campaign. I started off on Tumblr as a Polygon Cyberpunk Red fanblog, and though I’ve since stopped being as hyperfixated on it as I was it still makes me incredibly happy every time I watch it through.
- Her comedic banter with the other Polygon Content Creators has led to some of my favorite moments in all of Polygon, especially in the Fake Artist (THE CIRCLE) and One Night Ultimate Werewolf (the gaslighting of Simone) videos.
- I’ve watched her episode on video game cheats so many times it’s not even funny. IDK the quality of the research and her excitement for the topic seems to shine through and, as someone who speedruns and makes endless usage of the types of glitches she mentions, it makes me really happy to see someone cover the subject of ‘cheats’ the way she does.
- The Resistance: Avalon episode is my favorite Overboard episode that isn’t CPR largely because of Jenna’s fun mastermind vibe.
- IDK I want people to know that Last Friday is a really hard game to play well as killer in a way that’s still fun for everyone, and Jenna’s little details she adds about her ‘character’ is really great. Like, I’ve played Last Friday before and that shit can be boring if the killer isn’t playing in a fun way.
