Emmerdale stars share their hidden talents at Danny Miller's charity extravaganza

Two different Emmerdale star bands performed in support of their co-star Danny Miller's annual charity ball in Manchester

Emmerdale stars proved they're a talented bunch - showing off their singing and musical skills to support co-star Danny Miller's big charity ball in Manchester. Emmerdale favourite Danny, along with pal Daniel Jillings, run the Once Upon A Smile charity supporting families through bereavement.

Their annual fundraising ball has become know for its star guests and surprise star turns on the stage. This year was no different, with a packed night of entertainment at The Point at Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday night.

And Danny counted on the support of his friends when they also took to the stage for some powerhouse performances.

Bradley Johnson, who plays Emmerdale's Vinny Dingle wowed the audience performing with his band The Trilogies at the start of the night. The band are known for their take on swing classics, and they wore matching gold suits as they impressed with their vocal harmonies.

Then later Bradley joined up with more of his soap co-stars in the long-running Emmerdale band. Soap legend Dominic Brunt, aka Paddy Dingle, has been leading the band for years.

The band's current incarnation is called Somewhere near Hotten - a nod to one of Emmerdale's fictional locations. And they got the audience up and dancing at the big charity event at the weekend.

While Dominic is the bass player in the band, he was joined by Katie Hill, who plays the soap's Sarah Sugden, and Olivia Bromley, who plays Dawn Taylor.

Katie also had the audience in tears as she performed a stunning solo while one of the moving videos about those helped by the charity was played in the room.

The ball is organised by Danny and his fellow actor pal Daniel Jillings, who always like to spring special surprises for guests.

And at the finale of the night guests were wowed by performances from boyband 911 and Kelly Llorena.

Danny and Daniel first held their own charity event back in 2011, in memory of much-loved Emmerdale and former Corrie producer Gavin Blyth who died of cancer in 2010 aged just 41.

It would go on to inspire the duo to set up their own charity, Once Upon A Smile, offering child bereavement services across Greater Manchester.

They now have a dedicated headquarters, Sidley House in Old Trafford which opened in 2016, where youngsters can access bereavement support as well as a range of fun activities including play rooms, art workshop and a mini-cinema.

Emmerdale 22.05.24 Just the one tiny Aaron scene

Aaron comes over to Wishing Well to see Vinny after hearing of his attack & is shocked by his injuries Mandy suspects Aaron could be responsible & accuses him. Vinny shoots down her theory. Aaron denying her claims insists he'd lay out the culprit if he knew who it was.

After Aaron had successfully batted away Mandy's suspicions, Aaron says he suspects Vinny interrupted a burglary and got bashed in the process as Belle rushes over and is equally shocked & horrified by the state of Vinny.

Emmerdale 04.04.24 Part 3

Aaron returns from his appointment with Liam to find Ruby mid rant at Chas and his family as a mortified Caleb looks on, Ruby's feeling like she's in competition with them all for Caleb's love & affection, she's desperate, deranged & trying to fight for him.

Aaron listens bewildered as Ruby is going nuclear on his family, as Caleb tries to intervene and pull her away she lashes out at him & accidentally elbows Chas in the chest who hasn't even fully recovered from her double mastectomy surgery in the area yet.

As Chas is recovering from the elbow to the chest courtesy of Ruby, Aaron insists he's calling Liam to look over her, despite her protests as Caleb gives Ruby her marching orders.

Aaron is now helping look after the pub, while Charity is looking after his mum in the back after what happened earlier. Belle is upset about the 'break in' & Tom is comforting her, he bizarrely asks Aaron where Charity is as Aaron is getting him in a pint.

Aaron has as Chas wanted gone to see Liam, he explains how anxious he's been feeling, Liam reassures him things don't have to change from when he was oblivious, he has the faulty gene he'll start having regular scans after he's 40 for prostate cancer & live his life as before.

Aaron listens as Dr Liam tells him he'll give him a number to call if he has any concerns, Liam tells him he's in a better position now he knows what his risks are, knowledge is power, live his life & please don't hit him again!

Emmerdale 04.04.24 Part 1

Aaron has come to offer to help out, Chas is planning to return to work at least to some light duties, Chas insists to Aaron she knows her limits. Aaron wants her to take it easy. Chas tells Aaron to go and see Liam, she says fine but he isn't.

As Chas has insisted Aaron goes to see Liam to discuss his worries over his gene results, Caleb has come to see Chas, Aaron is still a little hostile towards him as Chas invites her brother in as Aaron heads out.

Emmerdale 03.04.24

Paddy finds Aaron having breakfast in the café, he asks him if there's anything he wants to tell him, Aaron jokes the eggs are good but Aaron soon realises he knows about his gene test results. Paddy tells him he's there for him if needs to talk about it but Aaron doesn't feel the need.

Paddy reprimands Aaron for hitting Liam, he reminds Aaron about how Liam had gone above & beyond for Chas, how he found the cancer, supported her all the way through & says how good he has been for her, Aaron admits he shouldn't have hit him as Ella eavesdrops.

Later

As Paddy is celebrating Tom securing the vets a lucrative contact, he finds Aaron at the bar, he again tells Aaron he's there for him when he needs him, if he needs to talk, Aaron jokes he's not likely as Chas rushes in past them upset having been on the brink on declaring her feelings for Liam only to witness he and Ella kiss.

Aaron decides to go through and find out what's upset Chas, but Charity insists she be the one to go this is a girl's thing, leaving Aaron and Paddy wondering what has happened now.

Emmerdale 02.04.24 Part 2

Chas about Aaron hitting Liam as Aaron is nursing his bruised knuckles, Chas tells him, Liam talked her into not being angry at him, as Aaron still is unhappy with him. Chas reminds him Liam could have reported him but he's not going to, defending Liam.

Aaron explains he hid the truth of his gene test because he wanted to protect her from the truth & seeing how relieved she was when he told her made him feel he needed to lie. She thanks him for that but makes him promise to never do that again.

Aaron becomes emotional he explains how after Liv died he wanted to die himself, not feeling suicidal but he couldn't cope with the loss of his sister. Aaron doesn't see the point of seeing a doctor he doesn't want to die now but feels he's done for.

Aaron admits he's bricking it & is scared, telling his mum, he wishes he was as strong as she is dealing with this the way she has. She says he's the strongest person she knows yes he's had terrible luck in life but he keeps getting up again & again.

Chas reaches to Aaron and he goes over to her for a cuddle. He agrees if she can do it, so can he and promises he will get help. Chas says whatever they face they do it together. A lovely tender moment between mother & son.

Emmerdale 02.04.24 Part 1

Aaron sees Liam and spots his injury he caused yesterday showing an awkwardness and perhaps feeling some regret for his actions.

Chas see's Liam and spots his injury and guesses Aaron is responsible and is furious with him and despite Liam's advice is going to confront her son for resorting to violence yet again & lashing out.

As Ella looks on Liam tries to support Chas and tries to get her to rethink confronting Aaron over what happened believing that taking it calmly would be best but Chas isn't convinced, but Liam persists.

Liam makes Chas recall how scared she was, how she needed time to come to terms with the bombshell news when she first learned of the faulty gene & her cancer & yelling at Aaron will cause him to yell back & what he needs is her to listen & she takes it on board. They share a tender moment all witnessed by Ella.

Chas has calmed herself down and now gone to see her son with a different mindset, bringing some of Aaron old toys & games including tiddly winks, she's kept as a keepsake, that somehow survived the fire in the pub years ago, offering them as a gentle icebreaker.

Danny Miller on Loose women today

Talking about his Emmerdale storyline, a bit of his Albert Book shelf podcast, being a dad and the reaction they had to his last appearance on the show that made headlines when Steph breastfeed their baby live on air.

He was also asked on the possibilty of a Robron reunion he said, if Ryan could be tempted to return he would love it but Ryan has a young family himself and lots of things going on so nothing is imminent sadly.

Danny watching some of his on-screens kisses backstage on the set of Loose women was a fun little segment.

Aaron has now made his way into the Dr's surgery but he's not there to make a appointment as Liam initially thinks but to confront him for breaking his trust.

Aaron wound up and angry doesn't accept Liam's apologies and throws a punch at the Dr knocking him over, splitting his lip, then warns him to stay away from both him & his mum. Liam has made an enemy of Aaron.

Emmerdale 01.04.24 Part 2

Aaron bounds into the back of the pub, he's thrilled to impart the news Caleb's leaving and thinks they should celebrate with champagne, but Chas doesn't share his enthusiasm so he puts the kettle on instead, Chas has other things on her mind.

Chas has worked herself up fretting Aaron might be ill and worries that is what he is hiding from her after Liam's hints but when Aaron assures her this is not the case, she turns to the only other thing it could be the gene test results.

Chas puts Aaron on the spot and asks him directly if his gene test was positive and he admits it was. Chas is upset Aaron lied to her and Chas is riddled with guilt and fear for Aaron and Aaron is too fearful as they both struggle.

Aaron is angry with Liam, Chas takes the blame for squeezing out the truth, besides he didn't actually tell her anything. Chas wants Aaron to talk to him or Manpreet but Aaron is reluctant. He can't go through life thinking every twinge in his body is cancer.

Aaron and Chas are both struggling, Chas again pleads with Aaron to make a dr's appointment there might be something he can do to help himself, Aaron is still reluctant but says he'll think about it as he heads off.

Emmerdale 01.04.24 Part 1

Charity finds Chas struggling, still in pain & tired & proceeds to encourage Chas to start something with Liam, Chas is aware of Ella's interest in Liam & feeling insecure over the changes to her body & is unsure it's the right time, but Charity fears she'll miss the boat if she doesn't act now.

Meanwhile, Aaron happens to come past just as Caleb & Ruby are telling Nicky they're moving away and are house hunting in nearby Harrogate, Aaron is feeling jubilant at the news and let's them know he'll be glad to see the back of them especially Caleb.

Charity has asked Liam to do a house call to check on Chas but her real motive is to match make them. Nonetheless it provides Chas the opportunity to grill Liam on what the heated conversation with Aaron was about, it's been playing on her mind.

Chas and Liam get to chatting, soon Chas asks about Aaron, although Liam doesn't tell her what they were talking about he does bungle his way into telling her to ask her to tell Aaron to come & see him if he needs to, causing her to worry as why he'd need to.
