A few years ago I had a lot of fun illustrating some tiny fruits in watercolour and coloured pencil. 🍒🍑🍋🍊 I love painting really tiny things, though it's become more difficult lately with my neural issues.

I used Sennelier watercolours (incredible vibrant transparent colour, wonderful for glazing) and Faber Castell Polychromos. I LOVED the way the Polychromos pencils handled and am now a total convert!

This design is available on my Spoonflower store in white, navy and black! I can add more variants on request.

Greetings, Tumblr! It’s been a while!

I figured I would (re-)introduce myself with some of the work I’ve done since I was last active on here.

My name is Danelle. I’m an artist from Cape Town, South Africa, and I love working in pencils, ink and watercolour. I also teach beginners watercolour classes sometimes. My style varies a lot, but this is typically what I like to do (and what people hire me for) in terms of pet portraits!

I do watercolour pet portraits sometimes, and they’ve all been a delight. Memorial portraits, celebratory portraits, and just-because portraits, they are all wonderful and I am grateful to be able to immortalise these special little critters. 🥰

I actually have two slots open currently, with tomorrow being the last day that you can order to have a chance at having it in time for the holidays.
