Do you think the Morphogenetic Fields from ZE could interact well with the Jungian Psychology stuff from Persona? And if so, how do you picture that?

I'm thinking of writing a fic, and I wanna see the different ways people picture those two things co-existing

hmmm. interesting thought. i dont think the morphogenetic field has too many similarities with the actual persona-summoning stuff (which in jungian psychology relates to the self, id ego and superego) but you can definitely draw some comparisons between them with the collective unconscious.

the collective unconscious is pretty prominent in all the persona games (excluding 1. havent played it sorry <3): in p2, its the power of rumor manifesting, in p3 its apathy syndrome (which. hey. kinda like reverie syndrome maybe?), p4 the midnight channel and p5 mementos. iirc in 999, snake describes accessing the field as the process of 'reading' and 'writing to' it, which you could take to mean that people with access to the morphogenetic field have a stronger connection to the collective unconscious. maybe this manifests in being able to predict stuff in the shadow zones ahead of time like morgana and teddie, or the ability to influence it somehow?

either way DEFINITELY drop me a link to that fic when you write it!!! i love throwing mechanics from different universes in a blender and im so curious what youll do with it 👁️👁️

Loving the leverage au too! Question: thoughts on aoipei? I liked them a lot before I found out Aoi and Akane were siblings and now I'm trying to get their dynamic to work after that, but it's tough work 😔

oh you flatterer. thats kind of you to say BUT i would be remiss if i didnt give credit to the other amazing artists in this fandom!!! go chuck a follow to @mortellanarts, @gaulemtypefemale-dm-l-016, @sinlizards and @handsometimr. i also gotta shout out my besties @kaetor and @argentsunshine (who has done some santas for this blog before!). the fandom's actually bigger than you might expect for a game that came out over 10 years ago, if anyone else wants to throw some artist recommendations in the replies PLEASE do. these blogs were just the first that popped into my head there are so many more amazing people whos urls i cant think of rn.

AS FOR AOIPEI. they fascinate me so much. my favourite version of their dynamic is in the safe end, with them kind of being fucked up codependent toxic haters at each other. buuuut theres also a fun universe in the vlr timeline with them and light as three weed smoking grandpas. one time kaetor described them as "fundamentally aoi and junpei are very similar people who care about the same things but also in any universe where akane is alive and in their lives they just hate each other". theyre both silly i like them a lot <3

Bestie, I'm loving the leverage art. I also have no idea what 'leverage' au is (is leverage the name of a series, or are we talking the concept of leverage?) Could you tell us about the au a bit?

GLADLY. leverage is a tv series that was produced around 2009-2012 (i think.) that ran for 5 seasons. A revival, leverage redemption, started in 2021 and the 3rd season is currently in development.

Basically its about a bunch of criminals/con artists who decide to steal from rich people, corrupt politicians, and help the people affected by them. The writing and research into each story is amazing and the characters are so very good.

How this au works is that each character is given a role similar to those the leverage characters have on a heist. So, junpei being the thief means hes good at stealing stuff, pickpocketing, dodging lasers. Snake being a grifter means he specialises in talking to people. Persuading them, getting them to unlock doors for him, that sort of thing. Clover being a hitter means shes good at punching people. These arent their only skills, obviously, but they are their specialties. Theres also hacker and mastermind.

Leverage redemption introduced the roles of fixer and maker. In my au, ive made santa the maker: hes kind of a hacker, but he specialises in hardware. Making earpieces, emps, gadgets and gizmos.
