In the Shield Pokedex, it says that there was a case where a Kangaskhan raised a lost human child. This might be a reference to episode 34 of the anime, “The Kangaskhan kid.” This episode is about a child being raised by Kangaskhan, as the title suggests.

Both Anabel and Ingo debuted in their respective games as leaders in battle facilities (the battle frontier for Anabel and the battle subway for Ingo.) They both returned in later games in different regions with most of their memory missing

You might have noticed that the ultra ball has a yellow H on the top. This is because in Japanese it’s name translates to “hyper ball.” It’s an odd bit of English translation

Fan theory time! Know that this is a theory and therefore is not outright canon, even if it sounds plausible!!
Cubone was originally supposed to be the the child of Kangaskhan.
The evidence is that the skull of Cubone looks like the head of a Kangaskhan.
Cubone's signature move is called "bonemerang", a mix between bone and boomerang. Boomerangs are a stereotypical Australian thing, and Khangaskans could be based on kangaroos, stereotypical Australian animals.
The final piece of evidence is that there is a glitched pokemon in red and blue (kind of like missingno), if you manage to level this pokemon up there's a chance it can evolve into a Kangaskhan. This could imply that Kangaskhan was supposed to have a pre-evolution

The Hoenn anime had the “pokemon trainer’s choice” as the middle of the episode break, these would ask simple questions. Many of which were just straight up wrong. The most infamous case is the one where they ask “which pokemon evolves into Seviper?” with Arbok being the answer. This made many kids including myself believe that Arbok truly evolved into Seviper (which is obviously wrong, arbok doesnt evolve into anything nor does seviper evolve from anything)

Gen 5′s GTS doesn’t allow pokemon with offensive nicknames but doesn’t exclude the normal names of pokemon. Thanks to this an English Nosepass can’t be traded unless it’s name is changed, due to it containing ass

In mystery dungeon explorers of time/sky, pokemon are put into different IQ groups. This helps determine what kind of IQ skills they can learn. Palkia is both in the highest IQ group (J) and the only one. Not even Dialga or Arceus are in this group, being 1 below it

Theres an old internet rumor that Spinarak was made by an American kid for a tcg contest. It used to be on Bulbapedia as if it was a fact until someone removed it stating that it's wrong
Though it should be noted that although there is no hard evidence, there are people who genuinely seem to remember the contest. Someone on Reddit has even made a post a mere 6 months ago saying his roommate is convinced that he's the creator of Spinarak. It's also entirely possible that people just remembered wrong
Either way, its an obscure rumor that some, including myself, fully believed. It does leave you with the question about who actually designed Spinarak

Anabel, the salon maiden in Hoenn and member of the international police in gen 7, uses a mostly-male pronoun in Japanese. When used by a girl, it means they’re a tomboy

The only reason Lugia is psychic/flying instead of water/flying is because psychic was seen as a super strong type in gen 1 and they wanted to give Lugia that stronger impression. Ironically, in gen 2 they also rectified the psychic type balancing issues

In 2020, the official pokemon account made a joke tweet stating that Porygon did nothing wrong. They later deleted it.

So, today is the 1 year anniversary of the blog. But it's time to talk a little if people don't mind.
I'm taking a break, for a month.
For the past few months, life and my own mental health has been a bit overwhelming. Which caused me to not pay as much attention to this blog as I've been wanting to do. Truth be told, a lot of the trivia lately has been written by me right before I go to bed. And I don't like this way of running the blog. I feel like the quality has decreased so much lately because I don't give myself the time and energy to run it, to have fun with it.
And that's what I want. I want to take a break so I can have fun again. So I can spend hours researching pokemon stuff whenever I feel bored, without the feeling of "shoot I forgot to write something for tommorow." Constantly. I started this blog because I have so much knowledge about the franchise and I wanted to share it with anyone who would listen, I didn't even expect the blog to get so many followers 💖
In exchange for this month long break, I'll still be posting... Sort of. Since the blog is a year old, there's a ton of stuff from the beginning that no one's actually seen. So I'll be reblogging them! And I hope to be back in a month with stuff I'm happy to post :)
Side note, the biggest thing that made me post daily are all of you who reblog my posts/comment with silly remarks, funny stuff, their own stories and their own additions. You guys are awsome 🥹

Despite being Johto pokemon, Houndour, Slugma and Murkrow are native to Kanto in the original gen 2 games. In HGSS they changed this by making them available in the safari zone

Calyrex, when not riding Spectrier or Glastrier, is Psychic/Grass type.
This makes it weak to both its mounts (who are ice and ghost respectively)

Back in 2016, Pokemon did a merch collab with Mario for a limited time in pokecenters. It had a lot of stuff with Pikachus dressing up as Mario and Luigi, such as keychains, shirts, notebooks and cards
But coolest in my opinion has to be the plushies, and the 3ds cover that is hard to find nowadays
