Final Fantasy IX Appreciation Week day 7 → D-DAY!

So, it’s finally here, Final Fantasy IX 15th anniversary! This has been my second Final Fantasy, I’ve played it something like 13 years ago for the first time but it really didn’t leave a big impression on me at the time. But, I’ve played it again several years later and it quickly became my favourite game ever. What do I like about it? Like, everything? The characters, their development, the friendship and love between them, the locations, the combat system, even the villains. And, of course, the soundtrack, which happens to be my favourite one ever (you don’t say, right?). What I’ve always liked about Final Fantasy IX is its colorful and “child-like” graphics which contrast with the theme of the game (death/purpose in life/etc) because, yes, it’s so easy talking about this stuff in a dark setting, but it’s really something different when you do it with colorful characters and places, right? So, that’s it, here’s to my favourite game of all time, a game which captured my heart and will probably never let go~

Zidane coming to terms with the meaning of his existence. We are finally shown another side of Zidane, who is so damn serious about his friends he thinks he doesn’t have the right to be with them and return to Gaia together.
