there are many young merfolk out there, so i felt the desire to create a badass elder for mermay :) she’s as much derived from as she is dedicated to the vuvalini of MMFR– i also sincerely hope she brings joy to my mutuals older than me who always delight and inspire me, and to all older women in fandom, really, who i continuously thought of while working on her

I was so obsessed with cutting keys. Yeah, your standard house keys in the US these days are probably an SC10 or a KW1, which is what I usually cut, but every once in a while someone would come in with a key for some closet in their house keyed back in 1913 and they’d be like “can you copy this” and I’d be like uhhhhhh and find some keys that haven’t even been in circulating since 1970 and I’d be like “let’s find out” and usually I could manage it but then the real challenge was for the manager to price the thing

I saw a parkner post asking about how aunt May would react to Harley and I was just kinda skimming it so I saw Aunt May and Harley relationship and immediately thought DC crossover where Harley Quinn and Aunt May know each other somehow and I have never wanted anything more in my life than to watch them interact

Somehow Captain started visiting engineering more ofter. (Jim also won “the most accident-prone person one whole ship” from Bones, that’s how they became friends. Also - poor Scotty :D). 

I’ve seen some Captain!Spock and Science Officer!JIm (and I love it), but I thought about Captain!Spock and Engineer!Jim.

I think once you reach adulthood you really have to make a list of things that either you or your parents have said to be normal and go to the doctor’s office and just verify.

Is it normal for your ears to just ring sometimes? Depends, have you spent 11 years as a musician and no one ever told you about proper hearing protection? Yeah, you’ll hear ringing in the background sometimes because you sat in front of the percussion and trumpet section, here’s a few links to some earplugs to prevent further damage.

Is it normal for you to develop a wet cough every time you laugh at something you find particularly hilarious? No, and your co-worker may ask you where your inhaler is cause they assume you know about your asthma that you apparently have and want to prevent you from having a full blown asthma attack.

So I know I’m on a soft hiatus but Something sorta weird just happened to me? I’m at one of those fancy ass service plazas in Connecticut with the gas and the restaurants and the only restaurant where they were properly wearing their masks over their noses was Sbarros so I walked up and there were two employees standing behind the counter looking straight ahead and I was standing directly in front of them waiting for them to ask for my order but when they didn’t even look at me I said hello and neither of them even turned their heads and I was like ???

But I thought fair enough who among us HASNT spent a food shift absolutely dissociating said I said hello again but still no response.

And suddenly this woman started approaching the counter to make an order and she started walking directly toward me not slowing down and I said ma’am excuse me but she didn’t even look at me and I said “MAAM” just as she was about to literally just bowl over me but none of them seemed to hear or see me and I had to fall backward to dodge her because she almost bowled me over and the employees noticed her straight away and started taking her order and I said hello??? Excuse me??? Hello??? And none of them looked at me or seemed to hear me so I just...left.....
