Shirts that bring attention to Fabry Disease in the world of your Sims.

𝔻𝕠𝕨𝕟𝕝𝕠𝕒𝕕 𝕃𝕚𝕟𝕜 𝕓𝕖𝕝𝕠𝕨 April is Fabry disease month. Fabry disease is a rare genetic multisystem disease. This means that any organ can be affected. This makes it very difficult to recognise the disease. It is only when you consider all the symptoms together that you realise that it could be Fabry disease. Most symptoms appear in childhood and are often dismissed. It usually takes around 10 years before a diagnosis is made. Let's work together to raise awareness of Fabry and bring the disease to the Sims world.

Der April ist der Fabry-Monat. Morbus Fabry ist eine seltene genetische Multisystemerkrankung. Das bedeutet, dass jedes Organ betroffen sein kann. Das macht es sehr schwer, die Krankheit zu erkennen. Denn erst wenn man alle Symptome zusammen betrachtet, kommt man auf die Idee, dass es sich um Morbus Fabry handeln könnte. Die meisten Symptome treten bereits im Kindesalter auf und werden oft abgetan. Bis zur Diagnose vergehen in der Regel etwa 10 Jahre. Lasst uns gemeinsam Fabry bekannter machen und die Krankheit in die Sims-Welt bringen.

25 March is National Cerebral Palsy Day.

To celebrate this day and raise awareness of this disease, I have designed 4 onesie for your Sims infants.

Cerebral palsy is a group of diseases associated with movement disorders and muscle stiffness (spasticity). They are caused by malformations of the brain during development before birth or by damage to the brain before, during or shortly after birth, for example due to a lack of oxygen.

Am 25. März ist Nationaler Tag der Zerebralparese.

Um diesen Tag zu feiern und auf diese Krankheit aufmerksam zu machen, habe ich 4 Strampler für deine Sims Kleinkinder entworfen.

Zerebrale Kinderlähmung wird durch eine Fehlbildung des Gehirns während der Entwicklung vor der Geburt oder durch eine Schädigung des Gehirns vor, während oder kurz nach der Geburt, zum Beispiel durch Sauerstoffmangel, verursacht.

After Rare Disease Day is before Rare Disease Day. That's why these T-shirts and caps are not too late, but just in time. Because rare diseases don't just happen in February, they happen every day of the year. In Germany alone, 4 million people are living with rare diseases.

I created these shirt with matching caps for #rarediseaseday24. They are meant to raise awareness for rare diseases and give affected sim players the opportunity to integrate their diseases into the game.

𝔻𝕠𝕨𝕟𝕝𝕠𝕒𝕕 𝕃𝕚𝕟𝕜 𝕓𝕖𝕝𝕠𝕨

300 million people worldwide are affected by rare diseases.

For 95% of them there is no approved therapy.

On average, it takes 6 years until a diagnosis is made.

This must change. That is why the many rare diseases need more attention.

Diese shirts mit passenden Caps habe ich für den Tag der seltenen Erkrankungen 2024 erstellt. Sie sollen das Bewusstsein für seltene Krankheiten schärfen und betroffenen Sim-Spielern die Möglichkeit geben, ihre Krankheiten in das Spiel zu integrieren.

Weltweit sind 300 Millionen Menschen von seltenen Krankheiten betroffen.

Für 95% von ihnen gibt es keine zugelassene Therapie.

Im Durchschnitt dauert es 6 Jahre, bis eine Diagnose gestellt wird.

Das muss sich ändern. Dazu brauchen die vielen seltenen Krankheiten mehr Aufmerksamkeit.

To celebrate this day with my Sims, I have created these murals and clothes for the PC game The Sims 4.

What is Rare Disease Day?

The purpose of #RareDiseaseDay is to raise awareness of the more than 6,000 known rare diseases and the approximately 300 million people who are affected by them. 

A disease is considered rare if it affects fewer than 5 in 10,000 people. That's not many - you might think. But if you add up all the rare diseases, there are 4 million people in Germany alone. Together we want to show that we rare people exist.  For all those who want to join in, there are great pictures and items of clothing on TSR that show "I/my Sims also support the Rare".

A small set of 3 different T-shirts, each in 10 different colours.

There are similar ones at TSR for adults, teenagers, children, toddlers and now babies. Now the whole family can wear the same look and show that they are united in the fight against CRPS. Because there is strength in numbers. Only together can we and our Sims raise awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.

Finally the cute an cosy 'Cure for Christmas' PJs are also available for girls :) and you can be sure that there will be more variations. Because it's not just CRPS sufferers who want a cure, nobody likes to be ill. sick, every chronically ill person wants nothing more than a cure. People with rare and unexplored diseases, in particular, often feel isolated. For most of them, there is no chance of a cure.

The only thing that currently helps them is to raise awareness. The more people learn about rare diseases, the greater the attention and support they can receive. Chance to persuade the pharmaceutical industry to conduct research. But November is all about complex regional pain syndrome. That's why there is only CC on CRPS this month. But you can be curious.

Organs and tissue may only be removed after death if the deceased person consented to this during his or her lifetime.

This tattoo is designed to draw more attention to the topic of organ donation.

Far too few people think about organ donation during their lifetime or do not fill out the organ donor card out of convenience.

In July, Disability Pride month, attention is to be drawn to people with disabilities. Often people with disabilities are invisible in public and if they are noticed, then usually only the disability is seen, but not the person behind it. This must be stopped. People with disabilities do not want to be pitied. They want to be integrated.
