Your post made me realize something i didn't notice before, how batman and joker's backstory mirror eachother in so many ways...

While bruce lost his family when he was a child, joker lost his as an adult. While bruce's family was the one he was born in (mom and dad), joker's was the one he built (wife and child). Bruce's situation that lead to his trauma was due to his wealth, while joker's was due to his poverty. While bruce's persona was created because someone failed to kill him, joker's was created because someone failed to save him.

Yesss, and that's exactly why Joker is the narrative foil to Batman's character. All the Rogues mirror an aspect of his psyche, one way or another, but Joker is the one to mirror the very foundations of Batman-- the most essential traits. What they share is intimate knowledge of loss and how cruel and random human suffering can be, and how it breaks one's worldview entirely. And fuck, Batman coming into being because someone failed to kill him, and Joker coming into being because someone failed to save him... I hadn't thought of this one before, but what a heartbreaking parallel. Especially since the one to fail to save Red Hood was Batman.

Firstly, I have to say that villain Joker is amazing, even if I prefer the vigilante version (yes, I am a hopeless romantic and I will never get over the line "Be loved by you"). I do love the scene you're describing, though.

To actually discuss the topic, I believe that John is a top, but not in the traditional way. Instead of physically being a top, he's mentally a top (you can kind of see this in John's original personality in season one). He's the type of person to prey on Bruce's extreme horniness by showing off some skin, bending over, cuddling too close, wearing something skimpy on purpose, etc. Then, when he gets Bruce all riled up, he likes to tease and deny him. In my opinion, John especially enjoys giving Bruce hand jobs and blow jobs because he loves to hear him beg (and because he has an obsession with Bruce's dick), but he doesn't let him cum until he's inside of him (he thinks it's a waste of cum otherwise). Everything is on his terms, except those rare moments when Bruce loses control, which are secretly his favorite and his ultimate goal for the night. Bruce knows that John is a tease and a little bit of a slut, but he likes it way too much for his own good.

However, with all that said, John physically being a dom is a really cool idea, as he's usually portrayed as being a bottom. And yes, villain Joker is more likely to be a dom than vigilante Joker, just like season one John is more likely to be a dom than season two John.

At the end of the day, though, they love each other deeply.

First of all, insane thing to say to Jason Todd of all people. Imply that you've kinda been dating Bruce until now, just not properly?? LMFAO. What even qualifies as a proper date? I want to know so badly what sort of date Joker would take Bruce on. Secondly, Joker says "Bruce", not "Batman"; I'd say it's surprising and make fun of the fact that Joker doesn't see Batman as breedable, but it's more likely that he defaulted to Bruce because he's the humanity inside Batman, and the source of the paternal instincts. I just had the idea of a comic where batman is investigating the joker cause he was quiet for a while and batsy is ~suspicious~ and when he finds him it looks like uho! The joker is dead! But how could it be? Ensue a very serious investigation by batman with an add of tragic obsessive homoerotic undertones!

Meanwhile joker wakes up in hell (bcs ofc he does, hell is fucking canon in the dcu) and suprise! He actually wasn't killed in any epic way, just fucking, idk slipped on a banana peel and died. So joker is like "Nah fuck this. The only acceptable death is to die by my Batsy's hands." And proceeds to just, try to fucking get out of hell (and let him have fun while he's at it).

I kinda want john Constantine to make a cameo bcs I love him

Oh and I want it to be played like a black comedy

This would be a good companion story to Batman: Damned, only it's Joker we follow and it's funny and it's actually good. (And I guess instead of having full frontal nudity that later gets censored, there could first be censored nudity and then in reprints SURPRISE NAKED JOKER.)

But seriously, this is such a great idea that would work perfectly fine in an official comic. We need more Joker hijinks! Nowadays they still seem to happen mostly in comics that are their own universe (eg, One Operation Joker) or in, like, peripheral comics where maybe it's canon or maybe it isn't (eg, Batman/Superman: World's Finest #25). Whereas in the main storyline in Batman, we've got Joker pulled into grim backup personality nonsense with bonus AI art accusations.

We must end the god-mode brilliant Joker era and return to chaotic idiot Joker. It would be fantastic to see him get himself killed in the stupidest way possible, in a huge blow to his ego. The way he's able to fight his way out of hell should be stupid too, not the usual "oh he's impervious because he's the Joker and figured out a way." I was talking to @distort-opia about this, and she had the idea that it should be because Joker's name is already in the book of the dead because he died temporarily in the acid vat, and I said what if it's because he temporarily died so many times that an overworked afterlife auditor just figured he has to be dead and stamped it in. So thanks to bureaucratic confusion, Joker gets to run around looking for a second loophole that gets him back to the land of the living. And yeah, maybe he's just so obnoxious that someone calls Constantine like, "Please get this guy the fuck out of here."

Wait, oh my god. Joker is insistently pleading (haranguing) his case to everyone, going on and on about how Batman created him and they're inextricably linked, and therefore dying at Batman's hand has to be his only possible demise. And at the end, some weary afterlife Account Manager asks, "Okay, then how has this apparently amazing fighter and strategist managed to not kill you before?"

Joker's like, "Oh, that's the best part of our connection. He thinks he has a philosophical and moral obligation to never kill me. Once I'm out of here, who knows when you'd see me again!"

The Account Manager responds, "I see."

A few minutes later the Curses Department is processing a form that says Joker can literally only die if Batman kills him.
