I cannot get over how wonderfully thematically pertinent Callahan's defeat is in legally blonde. Because say what you will about feminism and power and justice, Legally blonde is a musical about love.

And the fact that the story ends with El finding and achieving her perfect love, while Callahan loses his wife, with the divorce handled by Emmet himself, is oh so satisfying. As well as hairdresser finding love and warner ending up alone

It's a musical about love, and the ending proves that love is earned and love is beautiful

And those who deserve love will find it
