In this au, how do you think Scott feels abt fighting Roxie, do they even fight? Maybe they just talk it out?

I think it be close to the original and they would fight. Roxie would tell Scott that they would have to fight eventually. But Scott true to his character, just forgets every time Roxie reminded him, or he was hoping that because they were friends the fight could've been something like a video game or something that didn't involve them slugging. Roxie of course tells him he's a dumbass for thinking that

I think Scott would end up feeling very conflicted about it and try and avoid fighting Roxie because he doesn't want to fight his friend. It's one of those situations where neither of them is gonna back off of what they want so they got no choice but to fight eventually. Roxie is pissed that Scott is trying to chicken out of doing it. She wants him to commit to a decision, either fight or run away. Obviously she hates both routes but above all else but it's the indecision that would make her mad the most.

Scott would probably start having some self doubts about the situation he's gotten himself into (if doing all of this for Ramona is worth it) because he's now fighting his friend and by the end he would feel pretty torn up inside about it but keeping it hidden. Because the end result is basically him and Roxie having their friendship fall apart. And the self doubt thing doesn't go away after the fight like he was hoping it would and that emotional weight honestly pairs well with the stuff that happened in the books, because his relationship with Ramona gets a bit strained and tested.

I'd still say that him and Roxie would interact after the fact but not for awhile. Like it's a real friendship falling out and the two of them don't see eachother until one of them can break the ice and they can try and start repairing it. If it even can. The longer something goes un-adressed, the harder it can be to fix it.

What's your take on Roxie and her feelings with Scott going out with Knives once?

It kinda plays into a idea me and several other people had about Roxie being either the Angel or the Devil on Scott’s shoulders for things like that, with Wallace taking the other option/idea

So while Wallace doesn’t like the idea whatsoever, Roxy is a bit more lenient on Scott doing it. She thinks it’s still messed up that Scott is dating a High Schooler, but as long as Scott doesn’t try and play with the girls heart, he can do what he wants. Wallace of course disagrees with this idea. Roxie wants to give Scott the benefit of the doubt that he’s dating Knives for good reasons and not selfish ones, and gives him some advice/opinions on how she should handle it with her. She likes Knives, she’s like a cute excitable little sister to her. She wants to protect that precious smile and keep her away from Heartbreak

But when Ramona steps in, Wallace of course tells Scott he should go for a relationship with her, and break it off with Knives. The one with Ramona seems more appropriate for him, and he shouldn’t be dating a High Schooler.

While Roxie argues against it, Because she doesn’t like Ramona, doesn’t want to see her friend date her Ex (he’s only get his heart broken) and Knives is a sweet girl and she doesn’t need to have her whole world shattered because Scott started dating someone, who in her mind, is a “bitch”

I'm curious, in your au how did scott and roxie become friends?

The AU isn’t something I came up with, it’s something some other guys did, and I’ve just been throwing my own ideas into the pot occasionally

Universally it’s agreed that after college Roxie wanted to get away as far as she could, so she went all the way up to Toronto, Canada. Scott eventually runs into her when he stumbles into a Lesbian Bar, because Wallace needed the apartment alone for the night and Scott just needed a place to hang or was trying to get a drink. Roxie doesn’t like Scott’s presence and she’s been kinda on the edge ever since her and Ramona split, so the two initially have a altercation. This happens a few times over the course of a month but eventually Scott and her stop fighting for one reason or another, probably by stopping some other fight at the bar. Roxie and Scott break the ice after that, and the two begin to know each other better and that’s where the friendship starts

The drawing was based off some idea from a thread where Roxy went to a costume party and Scott mistook her costume for something else. I had some time to kill and cranked out a quick sketch of it. The idea is that this was before they become friends, because it WAS attached to that whole Friend AU thing between the two of them
