Art is the outcome of expressing emotions creatively.

Cringe is an emotion, and if your art is cringe, your art expresses emotion. Which makes it "real" art, way more than creating something that evokes no emotion. Nonchalance is the antithesis of feeling, it's the absence of it.

If someone hates your art, YOUR art has MADE someone else FEEL something. And that's so fuckin swag and cool of you.
