Downloading games from archive.org

This is just a little demonstration of downloading Barbie games from the archive.org database. I am downloading Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper as an example using Windows 10.

♡ Step 1: Locate & install the ISO IMAGE file on the download page of the game you want.

♡ Step 2: Find and run the ISO file from your downloads folder.

♡ Step 3: This should lead you to the game’s download file contents. From here you should run the INSTALL file.

The installation process may prompt you to download an older version of QuickTime Player. You should download it as the game can’t run without it.

The game startup screen should automatically come up from which you can click play and enjoy your game! I hope this was useful for those that needed it ♡

Fan theory:

Raquelle from "Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse" on Netflix isn't a Barbie Brand doll. (Most of the examples are from the episode "The Shrinkerator")

she doesn't have "Barbie™️ sized feet" and can't fit into the standard Barbie™️ molded shoes.

We know that other toys exist in the show. Raquelle was with He-Man in a scene.

Her legs have a band that snaps them back instead of the standard Barbie™️ doll leg articulation.

She doesn't have a sunny disposition like the others.

She's the only antagonist toward Barbie

As far as I know, Raquelle is the only doll in the show not based off of a real world barbie doll. (The only dolls I can find online were made AFTER the show was released.)

My theory is that since Raquelle is an offbrand toy she dislikes Barbie because she's jealous she's not a Barbie™️ toy.

I like to imagine the show to have the same premise as The Lego Movie, where it's all the convoluted imagination of a child playing with their toys.

The hypothetical kid playing with the toys wants Raquelle to be a bad toy because she isn't a Barbie™️ doll and is likely a cheaper, dollar store knockoff...therefore this child has already fallen prey to capitalism and has already started showing classist traits.

So in looking through all the episodes of Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse, I've been gathering images of Raquelle's "R" symbol. There aren't really any HQ images of it out there, and it's all over her...everything! Obviously as a counterpoint to Barbie's ever-present B symbol.

It was on the wallpaper behind the couch where she did the confessional bits...

on her giant laptop....

on her supervillain monitors....

and the bottom of what I like to call the Raquelle-a-copter!

Not to mention all over the House of RRRRRaquelle from "Bizarro Barbie".

Sadly, we never got a whole Raquelle logo -- the most we got was on a book cover only visible for half a frame in one episode.

There was also a head profile logo akin to Barbie's only used once (in the first beach episode IIRC).

Why am I doing this? Because let's face it, we all feel bad for how many times Raquelle failed (and even her easy victory in "Bizarro Barbie" felt hollow to her because without her being able to sabotage Barbie, what was the point?). That, and also the fact that Raquelle is clearly crushing hard on Barbie and can't comprehend it, so she channels all her feelings into her one-sided rivalry. (It also brings up shades of an interesting post that posits Raquelle is from a "knockoff" toyline, which of course isn't true, but is still an interesting idea none the less.)

She's a queen in her own way (including having the only two brain cells to rub together in Malibu).
