Um. So I passed out in the car earlier today. Thankfully it happened just before I put the car into drive and I’m okay now, but it really freaked me out. I’ve never passed out before and I don’t know why it happened. Any prayers would be appreciated.

So today I got a rather unkind comment on AO3 (one could call it hate), but I believe it to be a bot for several reasons:

Guest account, but username attached

Said username exists but person is unlikely to be reading Tolkien fic (according to their Tumblr and AO3, they are in other fandoms)

Two grammatically correct sentences

Super generic text that could apply to any fic:

"I've seen better fanfiction written by a toddler. Get it together!"

I'm curious, did anyone else get comments like this? Let me know.

And to those who have gotten rude comments and are now worried/upset: Maybe it was just a bot too. Either way: You're awesome for putting your writing out there for others to enjoy and you don't deserve to get rude comments for it. If you want feel free to message me to compare cases and discuss details :)

Prayer request: please pray for my neighbor K. Emergency crews arrived and was there for a bit -- when they left there was lights but no siren from the ambulance and they were driving really slow. She hadn't been looking well of late so we fear the worst. Also please pray for her adult son.

Hello, this is baby anon...

I wish I had good news and yesterday night, we had so much hope with better news, but this morning things took another turn for the worst and now we are told she is not expected to last the day....

The family is devastated and takes turns around her. If it is God's will to take her back, please pray that her passage be smooth, and especially pray for us all, her parents particularly, who will have to let her go.

randomly remembering the time in 2012 when everyone kept saying the world was going to end at midday that day and like, i didnt really believe it, but i didnt want to be a complete fool if i was wrong, so i excused myself from class to go sit the field and perfectly timed the beat drop to a skrillex song just in case something happened. and im just. retroactively amused by the idea of ushering in the appocalypse with skrillex. most 2012 thing you could possibly do.

Hey everyone, I don't normally post prayer requests. I guess I don't post very often at all, but that's just the kind of person I am.

4 years ago, my wife was in the hospital for the birth of our son, and it did not go well, but I asked for prayers here, and it was all answered. I know there's a lot of good people here, and your prayers really help.

I took my dad to the ER this morning, and he had surgery because of a tear in his intestine. They said there was lots of infection, and he had to have part of his colon removed, and he had to have a colostomy.

My sister is a teenager and had her gall bladder removed two days ago she is recovering but is not able to take care of herself yet.

We are grateful that both my dad and sister are still with us, but they both have a lot of recovery ahead of them. Especially my dad. My mom can't take care of both of them herself, and my dad will remain in the hospital for at least a week, and my sister can't (or shouldn't) be left alone yet

My wife and I are the only other family in the area and we're definitely going to help, but I have to return to work Tuesday and my wife will have our son in tow. She was taking care of my sister today while I was at the hospital with my mom, but it wasn't easy for them.

Please pray for us. We need prayers for the healing of my dad and sister, for strength and grace for the rest of us, and for God to provide everything we need. Thank you and God bless.
