Sammlerin Dr. Constance Clayton stiftet an PAFA: Fast 80 Kunstwerke aus der Sammlung der prominenten Pädagogin und Kunstförderin Dr. Constance E. Clayton hat die Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts erworben. Die Werke, die in die Sammlung der #pafa aufgenommen werden sollen, stammen von afrikanisch-amerikanischen KünstlerInnen, von denen viele mit der PAFA verbunden sind, darunter der renommierte Alumni Henry O. Tanner, Barkley L. Hendricks und Laura Wheeler Waring. Die Sammlung, die sich vom späten 19. bis zum späten 20. Jahrhundert erstreckt, umfasst eine frühe Kohlestudie von Hendricks (ca. 1960), eine bekannte Bleistiftzeichnung von 1934 von Charles White und ein Ölgemälde von 1999 mit zwei Arbeitern von Claude Clark. Viele der Künstler sind neu in der Sammlung der PAFA.
