If you don’t have means to a therapist or mental health professional

Check out therapistaid.com. There’s worksheets there that you can download for free.

Of course it would be a lot more beneficial if you have a therapist to help you through it but not everyone has access to one.

It’s a free site where you can have free downloads of worksheets on many things.

If there’s something there that you think would be helpful, print it out and complete the worksheet on your own.

It’s hard to be accountable for yourself but at least there’s a way for you to have some insight and work on yourself.

Would you like to participate in a research project about queer female fans?

My name is Evangeline and I’m a PhD student looking for Clexa fans who would like to be interviewed for my thesis and an online documentary I’m producing. Here’s a short video introducing what my project is about (TW: This video features clips of queer characters dying in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and The L Word between 00:41-00:55):

I’m looking for self-identifying queer female Clexa fans aged 18 and over, who’d like to talk about their experiences. The interviews can be filmed in Sydney, or at ClexaCon, in Los Angeles or over Skype. If you don’t want to be filmed, you can be interviewed via online messaging or email instead. You can also choose to use your real name, or use an alternative name. I’m also interested in talking to fans who make or reblog lots of GIFs or mashup videos, so please, get in touch!

As Lexa said the words out loud over the phone, she barely recognized herself. It wasn't true but she said what she had to do for Clarke to move on. Clarke doesn't deserve someone as damaged as her. It's better for her to find someone else. Besides Lexa is with Costia now. No turning back. No second chances.

Clarke: Oh wow. Then you really need to reevaluate the way you create relationships to other people. But I guess that's it then?

Lexa: ...Yes. That's it. I'm sorry. I have to go now, Clarke. Take care of yourself.

Why should you watch SKAM?

The Norweigian television show SKAM has just begun their 4th (and last) season and if you haven’t watched it yet, here’s a list of why it’s one of the most genius television shows ever created (not in chronological order or whatsoever)

It’s a show about norwegian teenagers set in real-time (as in veeery real-time.. more about that later) Norway at Hartvig Nissen Skole (a high school)

The series creator’s name is Julie Andem and the whole SKAM crew behind the series is 50/50 gender wise 

JA researched A LOT before she started to write and has even written her characters around the actors themselves which makes it much more authentic

Every season evolves around a new person from the series (also their POV, including how they percieve the others resulting in minor changes in clothes, behaviour etc. from season to season

Julie Andem actually LISTENS to her fans, engage with the fandom, re-construct fan art, tries to constantly surprise fans and everything has a symbolic meaning - giving lots of opportunities for fans to discuss theories and geek the f out

The show deals with a lot of different themes such as mental illness, rape culture, body shaming, eating disorders, feminism, homosexuality, religion, and the list goes on. It all centers around one thing: finding your own identity

The whole setup of the series is different. You have real instagram-profiles, youtube- and facebook accounts of the fictive characters. You get snips and pieces from their fictive, private life in the form of group chats, random pictures, videos and such on the blog skam.p3.no & if you seek out their profiles too

During the airing of the season you get real-time updates from the show (small clips, group chats, whatever) (ie. a clip that’s set this Wednesday on 19:51 (7:51pm) is posted at that time)

The whole portrayal of the characters is so authentic in general and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community it pleased me how well they [SPOILER ALERT] handled Isak and Even’s relationship in season 3 

I mean.. I could go on for ages. Just watch it. 

.. Oh and this season it has MUSLIM HIJAB WEARING GIRL as their MAIN CHARACTER. I mean… What’s not to like?!

Found this at my local library and it made me incredibly happy. It’s a flyer that includes an overview of lgbtqia books, movies and comics - both literary classics and new ones. They’re all categorized. Some of the categories are: “transgender”, “break the remaining taboos”, “love - the big leap!” etc. It’s informative and made by a grad student in literary science. This gives me hope for the future.
