one of the biggest things I can advocate for (in academia, but also just in life) is to build credibility with yourself. It’s easy to fall into the habit of thinking of yourself as someone who does things last minute or who struggles to start tasks. people will tell you that you just need to build different habits, but I know for me at least the idea of ‘habit’ is sort of abstract and dehumanizing. Credibility is more like ‘I’ve done this before, so I know I can do it, and more importantly I trust myself to do it’. you set an assignment goal for the day and you meet it, and then you feel stronger setting one the next day. You establish a relationship with yourself that’s built on confidence and trust. That in turn starts to erode the barrier of insecurity and perfectionism and makes it easier to start and finish tasks. reframing the narrative as a process of building credibility makes it easier to celebrate each step and recognize how strong your relationship with yourself can become

The Fool

1967

The Fool were a Dutch design collective led by Marijke Koger and Simon Posthuma, best known for their work with the Beatles, which included designing the tunics the band wore for their 1967 television broadcast of All You Need Is Love, decorating John Lennon's piano and George Harrison's Mini, painting a circular mural at the Harrisons' Surrey home Kinfauns, designing the inner sleeve of the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band LP and, most famously, painting a three-story psychedelic mural on the facade of the Beatles' short lived Apple Boutique in London's Baker Street, which was subsequently painted over by order of the local council. Pattie Boyd and her sister Jenny were fans of the collective and would model their clothing designs for the Apple Boutique. According to Boyd, this brocade ensemble was custom made for her by The Fool and she recalls wearing it during a trip to Greece with all four Beatles in July 1967 to explore the possibility of buying a set of Greek islands.

Naruto take where Sasuke chills out in a more reasonable time frame, but still can’t return to the village because he has committed All The Treason. The goals of the series then merge, as Naruto needs to become Hokage to have the rank to issue his rival a pardon.

#PLEASE #this really does sum up the crux of the series though #naruto wants to become hokage. naruto wants sasuke to come back #for these two things to happen konoha's interests and sasuke's have to approach each other instead of diverging #How Will Naruto Make This Happen #and then kishimoto wrote a zombie war instead.

i literally cant fucking stand that part in naruto when hes trying to learn to walk on water and his teacher (not jiraiya the other guy) keeps yelling at him how hes not trying hard enough and then internally is like “its probably the nine tails energy that makes him have a hard time regulating his chakra” LIKE THATS RELEVANT INFORMATION YOU COULD FUCKING SHARE WITH HIM?????? and then as soon as jiraiya fixes narutos seal naruto is able to regulate his chakra control so much better and can instantly walk on water and jiraiyas just like “haha yeah i just loosened ur muscles” instead of informing him that his chakra was just fucked up from reasons beyond his control because nobody in this fucking series feels the need to tell naruto that hes working with two hands tied behind his back and what he achieves is amazing and that things are difficult for a reason NOT because hes not putting in enough effort
