Lots of cast have shown support with likes and comments. Heather, Balvinder, Diane (Denise), Jamie, Tony liked his leaving post, Molly, Harriet, Having, Jessie, Jacqueline, Emma, Tom, James Bye, Adam, Colin. Its just one or two who are conspicuously not there when they're really active on instagram usually lol, and the lack of stories or posts saying goodbye to him.

It's kinda sad to see Jamie, Tony etc. post congrats and birthday stories for other friends and even longer more personal comments on things like Natalie's new podcast, but only leave one short comment on Max's goodbye post... but maybe he asked for no fuss? We all want to see support because he got sacked but maybe he feels the opposite and prefers to not have a big deal out of it.

I did say I didn't remember, but I'm glad they all showed support. And you're right, maybe he didn't want a fuss.

It would be nice to see at least one person makes the effort to go see him when he's on stage though.

You can tell who the most popular cast members are from how the other cast talk about them on instagram, Jamie, Natalie, James farrar and Tony are all really popular. I think max was liked generally but his personal issues maybe have caused a rift. And i think he didn't realise it was more one sided by the end tbqh, he was always posting about the show and some of the actors but the energy back wasnt there recently. Idt they hate him but I think it wasnt good for him to be on set any more. We don't know much but we can guess from his social media activity a few things e.g. he didn't want to leave, and he was finding it hard to cope with his grief. and a couple of other things (not posts).

But there are lots of cast and crew whove commented and said nice things, I think the issue is just with a few casts members and producers.

That makes me so sad. It's an awful feeling when your putting more into friendships than the other people are. 😢 And on top of his mental health issues, it can't have helped. Not saying they have to like him just because, but I can only imagine how much it hurt to realised no one gave a shit when he got sacked. Especially actors he worked so closely with. I can't even remember if anyone posts a goodbye post. 🤔 (And by anyone I mean Jamie and Tony.)

James and Max used to be friendly and James would like and comment on his posts until the end of 2022. He hasn't since 2023, i think its probably to do with taking sides over shona and his personal life even though shona now says her and max are fine.

This is the issue with office romances. It makes life difficult for everyone around when the end comes. Everyone takes sides.

@tkandbuck regretfully Tumblr isn't letting me reply to posts so I'll put it here. Its absolutely possible they just haven't interacted enough to build a friendship. Or they could have history away from EE. Overall, we can't really judge anything based on one actor not liking other actors posts.

Hell, maybe Max is a method actor and stays in character on set. 🤷🏻‍♀️😄 Who knows. I don't want to start making assumptions about Max based off other actors socials.

It's also soooo obvious James Farrar doesn't like Max, he likes and comments on all the cast's posts except Max's. I'm sad thinking that maybe he's not even missed that much onset, loads of the cast didn't even bother leaving a comment on his exit post when thry leave comments for everyone else 😕

Honestly that's just how it is sometimes. It's unrealistic to believe that every member of a show gets along. People are going to butt heads just because they have clashing personalities. Who knows, maybe there's was a clash over Shona. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So much of Max's exit is shrouded in mystery, it may be a long whole until we fully understand what went down.

Tony's been in more BTS photos and videos on eastenders Instagram in the last month than he was for last year. And he's sharing content with other cast more than he ever did with Max. It's sad to think they didn't get on as well as we thought, or as well as Max made out with the amount he mentioned and praised Tony.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I'd like to believe it's been to push the marathon stuff but honestly I've also been wondering if they're off screen relationship wasn't mirroring their on screen one. 😢

You know, I don't think I'll ever get over how many Ballum stories EE just either gave up on, fumbled or missed completely. I still can't believe they built up countless times to a Callum PTSD story and just never followed through. Not to mention brushing over Ben's deafness once it stopped being a story they could point at and say "hey look, aren't we cool. Look at this cool episode we did." They rushed through his whole cochlear implant. Not even caring that it made no fucking sense for Ben to get it during lockdown. Honestly, EastEnders never appreciated Ballum as much as we did.

Its hard to believe they're going to keep Ben Mitchell off our screens for six years. That just seems...too long. It odd for them not to make it a year and then recast. I don't think Ben has been away for more than 3 years at any one times.

And there's not fucking way they're going to keep Callum single for six fucking years.
