Effy and Social Media

I'm going to try and answer the impossible question ... would Effy have social media?

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: this is quite hard to answer, considering that the characters on Skins mostly use their phones for texting. But, Effy does have a blog and a Myspace account. I'll be talking about her first entry, 'cause I think it's more accurate to her personality (and season 1 Effy rules).

The above image is Effy's blog post written entirely in morse code. Here's a translation. I think that was a clever choice, considering how mute she was. Also, she doesn't write about herself much, instead giving snarky responses; instead of listing her favourite bands, she notes "music is the devil's fruit". Effy has a blog, but reveals next to nothing about herself.

So, Effy likes to appear mysterious, we know that. How does that translate on social media?

If she had Instagram, it would be private. I don't think Effy would post things like stories or Instagram lives; basically anything that involves talking. I'm not sure if she'd even post anything lol.

I think she'd mostly use social media to chat, and to find parties, instead of what people normally use it for ... idk, I'm not an expert.

If she had something like Twitter, I don't think she'd make her identity obvious. To be honest, I can only imagine her having Instagram and Facebook, maybe WhatsApp. I did receive some asks a while back about Twitter and Snapchat, but I'm really not sure if she'd use them, I think she'd honestly hate sharing her personal life.

Just for fun, I made a random template. Her bio says "nowhere".

I tried posting this earlier, but Tumblr very annoyingly deleted it, I can't even remember what I wrote ...

Lately, I've been searching for people with what I guess you can call an Effy ✨vibe✨. You could say said Effy's personality is too unrealistic or hard to understand, so what's the point in taking inspiration? So, I thought finding someone like her could show us what it's like in ~real~ life.

I'm pretty sure this woman has IT. Her name is Julia Roitfeld, a French designer. She's how I imagine Effy would act as an adult. They even have a similar fashion sense:

There's this video; @0:20 Julia talks about her style, and it's like ... wow. She could be describing Effy.

Anyways, those are just my thoughts.
