Month 12 - Prince Edin

WE DID IT!! I DID IT!! I FINISHED THE CHALLENGE AND I'M PROUD WITH MY PROCESS!!! Ù^Ú

This month's character is the newest version of "Lunaris" (who is now called "Edin"), the character that stayed with me for more than a decade and grew with me as a writer as well as a reflection of my personality.

This month was rather drawing and see how much I have improved in one year. At first, I thought that I reached a plateau with my drawing skills, but after drawing each month for a whole year, I can't believe that I improved!! This month's drawing hits me.... in so many way. After hearing the BS with AI-""""artists", I was dedicated to give it my all for this drawing. I have to admit... I ran out of time, so I KNOW that I can do better. But I dare to say that I put so much more effort and love into my art and passion than what AI will ever be able to produce.

Month 11 - Nora and Ivan

Phew!! I'm not disastrously late this time!! XD

This month's characters are… mysterious Owl Lady and her husband (2013). I think I never gave them proper names. If I did, then I forgot. xD

The challenge for this month was trying to replicate tenebrism/chiaroscuro (think of Caravaggio). … I'm not sure whether I did it, because I think I can (as always) do better xDDD Let's just say… It felt so easy to draw that it felt like I didn't do my best… This style was at the same time very satisfying and unsatisfying to draw… """>.> It sure was an experience

Happy Halloweeeeeen!! I MADE IT!!! XDDD BARELY!!! XDDD This took me way too much time, but at the same time surprisingly little XDDD

Anyway, this month's character is the Evil Prince (name redacted) from my comic "The Crystal Sword" (2013) I absolutely hate his old design because it's such a boring one xDDD

So this month I primarily focused on giving him a cool design while also being very colourful (instead of the cliché red + black = evil) I also really wanted to try a more painterly style from Early Modern Europe. (I only managed to mimick that style through some colour adjustments :,D Definitely could improve more on that aspect!!

Whoaaaaa I think I don't have an artblock anymore??? I am more experimental with this month's challenge so idk xD

This month's character is The Goddess of Chaos from my comic "Lives in Aramire" (2015). ... She never appeared every again after the prologue xDDDD

I primarily focussed on the dynamic pose and contrasting colour combination in this month's illustration. I also wanted to do something different with the shading (cel-shading) than my "more realistic that is actually not very realistic" approach. xD

But ye!! I will tell you more about my process in my highlights on Instagram that WILL be posted much later this time ^^"

Month 8 - The Glacial King, Egus

Who would have thought that a new game would be so much fun that I almost did not want to work on my challenge anymore?! And who would have thought an art block would be sooo unmotivating :,DDD

Anyway!! This month's character is "Egeus" from my comic "Lives in Aramire" (2015).

This month's challenge.... is... OK, tbh I didn't really do anything special this month >...> I guess I returned to drawing water again??? And I guess I kinda tried to draw wet clothes????

Month 7 - Lindy and the Gang

HAHA I am NOT late this time!! >:D And I am genuinely happy with how this month's drawing turned out!! :DD

So this month's characters are "Lindy", "Bent", "Rose" and "Pine" from my comic "Lindy and the Seeds of Hope" (2016-2017).

This month's challenge is primarily on a new method of shading and on colour theory. And... I guess I challenged myself to draw a tank... I can add a new thing on the list that I hate to draw now xD

Month 6 - Nimuel and Licia

WOAAHHHH I MADE IT

This drawing actually didn't take TOO much time to draw... it's just... that I was busy with other stuff xD

Anyway!! This month's characters are "Prince Frederick" and "Princess Luna/Elianne???" from my comic, "The Crystal Sword" (2013).

I challenged myself to draw more stained glass. Not only is this challenging me to draw that "dreamy effect" of stained glass, but also how light interact with its environment. ....Every time when I draw stained glass, I remind myself how much time and energy it takes out from me :,D

Month 5 - Kaoru Kurokawa

FEW that was close!! I thought I wouldn't make it for this month's challenge xD (Busy with the final exams ^^") Luckily this month's character is not that heavy on rewriting xD

So this month's character is "Mr. Black", a mary-sue high school teacher from my comic "Dragon High School" (2013), made when I was 10.

This month I wanted to try to draw more natural lighting XD ... And more background... ... And I wanted to draw a cat...

... ... I have found a new thing that I hate to draw xD

Month 4 - Damien and Celia

GOSH this is probably the edgiest drawing that I have drawn in a while xD

This month's characters are Luna and.... Lord Black >////> (I nicknamed him Edgelord throughout this month xD). They're characters from when I was 9 years old (so, 2012). Their origin story is way too complicated to explain here, so if you want to know more about their history, go read it in the highlights. XD

For this month's challenge, I have chosen to... draw background Orz... I still have no courage to draw plants 100% myself :,D Viva la Brushes :,DDD

Month 3: Rayhan

This time I chose to rewrite my My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic rip off :D These characters are from my comic "Adinia" (2011-2012)

When I rewrote this, escalated very quickly :DDD Who would have thought that a story about friendship became a story about war and colonisation :,)) So this month is more... Writing than drawing xD BUT!! I tried a lot of new stuff like underlighting and weird shading methods >:D

Originally, I have only planned to rewrite/redesign the "Twilight Sparkle" rip-off.

But I wanted to spice some stuff more, so I redesigned and rewrote the "Princess-Celestia" rip-off xD "Princess-Celestia" rip-off has become the antagonist in this story now :,D

Month 2: Mimi and Didi

So this time I chose my two oldest characters from my first (proper) comic that I made, "Mimi" (The Fairy) and "Didi" (The Mermaid) (2010, 7 years old). Mimi and Didi are definitely not their original names, but I sadly enough can't find the original comic anywhere ;-; So I went with the "redraw" that I made in 2016

For this month I chose to focus on how to draw water and wet stuff!
