Captain’s log: Stardate 135445684331.5 4, This is my first voyage into the stars not only ever but as captain.  In fact, it is my first voyage anywhere.  I am the first sentient starship, but I am not AI.  I am the first organic, living creature that can fly through space and house humans inside.  I am genetically modified and engineered. 

After your death you got the choice, be reborn as a human, or as a ship, guiding new explorers. You chose the ship. Upon waking up however, you weren’t made of wood and iron, but rather materials you didn’t know existed, flying through empty space. The humans inside are calling your name.

Planet of the apes much?

Earthlings always found great irony when they would meet an alien species that superficially resembled an animal from their home planet. It stopped being funny when they discovered examples of the opposite; alien animals that superficially resembled humans.

You die at the ripe old age of 100 years old, but instead of Heaven, Hell, Limbo or anything in between, you only see a scoreboard. The top score says “Methuselah, 969 years”, followed by “Queen Elizabeth, 500 years”. A text box appears in front of you, saying “Try Again? 10…9…”
