they should have the time signature awards where it's awarded to the best song in every time signature produced that year. so obviously a lot of stiff contention for the 4/4, but i think there's probably enough songs to fill out nominations for 3/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/8, 9/8, and 'alright calm down' time signatures.

So funny when people accuse people who are really obsessively into m/f ships in a horny kind of way of being hets. You think it's the heterosexuals who are posting 50 pictures a day of a man and a woman with captions like "ugh they're both so sexy" and "I want them both" and debating the kinks and fetishes of both characters in equal amounts? You think that's heterosexual behaviour?

Same energy as when I received my pre-op phone call for my surgery, and the lady said I could drink whatever I want the night and morning before surgery except red gatorade or other red drinks, and I went full chemistry mode thinking that the red dye must bind to anaesthesia or something, and she was like "No, anaesthesia makes a lot of people nauseous post-surgery, and we really don't want to guess whether or not you're throwing up blood."

Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1
The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.
So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.
So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.
Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.
And the probe is working again.
From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.

saw a poll about dry/humid heat and like OBVIOUSLY everyone preferred dry heat but. would love to know what everyone considers to be “too hot”
me personally it’s a hard cutoff at 75°F. don’t need anything more than that thank you 🫶🫶🫶

I think Sam Reich needs to do just one regular, normal, vanilla version of Game Changer randomly so that when it ends Brennan never feels safe.

I don't think the general public realizes exactly how much of Star Trek is about interplanetary extradition law.

Legolas, who grew up in the woods surrounded by other weird ass Mirkwood elves: "...Why don't we just ask the moon to fix him?"

I know I've probably said it before but it absolutely baffles me that some people genuinely believe there are fundamental ontological biological differences between men and women.
Even setting aside the nature of intersex-ness and transsexuality, human beings are spectacularly diverse in all of their features. We are not a sexually dimorphic species.
