Today I walked, again. I strolled around the dirty streets. The ones where we work. The ones where they sleep. A couple of clicks To open doors and wonder more About a man that was born years ago And died And everything in between. Connecting the dots Him & I. The sirens rang And he lay flat Not a single move No shoes nor hat Silent and alone behind closed eyes Body being unraveled on the path. Death approaching, helpless I left Hung my head Returned to my own home To my own bed

These days I feel most of you’s are more focused on pleasing a crowd than expressing yourself through your music.
It’s easy to look at hypebeast’s and see most of them are wearing on trend clothes simply to impress other people, but its seems people don’t recognise or pass comment every time a Irish artist makes a ‘New UK Banger’ project filled with ‘J Hus Type Beat **FREE**’, when it is really nearly the same thing. Im not saying everyone in Ireland are imitating UK artists, but it’s no lie to anyone that most Irish artists are imitating the hot tracks out rn.
Music should never be created with a monetised or social gaining agenda or mind set (or art in general), but It should can be marketed and distributed like that, as an artist should be able to live off of his/her works.
Music should be created in reflection of the core ideas and beliefs, along with the memories, joy and heartbreak that formed those ideas and beliefs, of the artist’s mind. Without this true intention in its creation, the music becomes nothing more than a capitalist commodity. Made and sold for monetary and social reasons. It loses that touch of magic and connection that made it music.
This is clear when artists rush projects. An album should take anywhere between a month and a decade to be produced and mastered. But this timeframe is irrelevant. For me it’s measured in terms of a timeframe in my own life I am trying to express. I’ve heard “I haaaave to have this done for summer” too many times in my life. Of course you need to produce music that is relevant for its release date, but pushing through and forcing a ‘summer project/ep’ simply because you want to be seen on a Longitude stage or to avoid being the only artist around that doesn’t have a summer project that people are talking about is a lie to ones core morals and complete ignorance and disrespect to ones artistic discipline.

I thought about what the start should have been. A piece of music, A poem, A selfie? This is the beginning This is where I come into existence.
