Kat smiled and tilted her head forward a little to kiss Liara lightly on the lips. She then rested her forehead against hers again. Her eyes closed for a moment with a content sigh.
"Mm, good morning," she said in return, opening her eyes and smiling.
How much time had passed? An hour? Several? Liara's mind was instantly turning as she felt the loving caress of her commander around her, she stirred, eyes fluttering open with a small smile creeping onto her face when she saw the woman. She leaned in closer so their fore heads were together.
"Well, Good morning." Liara said lightly, her voice still tired.

Kat smiled down at the asari and then carefully lowered herself back down again. If Liara wanted to sleep a little longer, she wouldn't disturb her rest. She inched closer to her lover and then gently nuzzled her. She stayed awake, but kept still to let Liara rest a little more.
The Commander kept her fingers intertwined with Liara's, squeezing ever so slightly. She looked down at her face, happy to see her so relaxed. It wasn't often that she got to see Liara looking well-rested and content, not with all the work she had to do in a day.
Liara's lightly snoozing form still lay there, her mid section slowly rising and falling with each breath, her snoring was soft, like a small child's, loud enough to be heard, but soft enough not to annoy. She had fell asleep shortly after the commander did, unable to stay up long after such a day.
Though her hand was intertwined with hers, the creamy white, stark comparing her deep full blue color. She stirred a little whenever Shepard moved, grumbling and squirming cutely.

Kat smiled and nuzzled Liara lovingly before closing her eyes and letting herself drift off. Her sleep was peaceful and her dreams were nothing she would remember once she woke up.
She slept for about four hours, which was enough to recharge her batteries, so to speak. She rolled onto her back and slowly opened her eyes with a soft sigh. She felt a lot better now that she had slept.
Kat sat up slowly and looked around to see if Liara was awake or not.
She smirked, leaning in to kiss the girls nose, pulling back and looking into her one open eye. She took a breath through her nose, and relaxed.
"I will be looking forward to that." She said, giving her a little sensual eye bat, biting her lower lip.

Kat chuckled and lay back down as well, nuzzling Liara gently. She closed her eyes with a tired, but contented sigh.
"Mm, I know I am," she said with a soft laugh. She opened her eyes for a moment to kiss the tip of Liara's nose before closing her eyes again. She would get at least a few hours of sleep. That would keep her running for the day.
"Let me sleep for a couple of hours, and then I won't just tease you," she said, opening one eye slightly.
Liara widened her eyes, kissing the girl back with every ounce of passion she could in such a short time. She gave her a look as if she was in slight pain, though she bit her lip to keep from smiling too wide.
"Tease..." She murmured, walking towards the bed and laying down next to her commander.

Kat smiled slightly before pushing herself up into a sitting position. She was well aware how different this could be if she wasn't so tired. It was tempting, but her exhaustion was winning over everything else.
Still, the Commander leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to Liara's lips, letting it last for a few long moments. She then pulled away slightly with a small grin.
Liara smiled, removing her boots, then her socks, she then stood over her, trying to keep the blush off her face. If this wasn't this particular instance, things would be a lot more...intimate. She leaned over her, looking up into her eyes before tugging at her pants, pulling them past her thighs, and down her now bare legs. She set them by the bed on the floor.
"There...."

Kat reached her arms over her shoulders, grabbing the back of her shirt and pulling it over her head as best as she could. Once it was off, she dropped it on the floor for now and flopped back onto the bed, eyes closed. She shifted her feet a little to help Liara get her boots off.
"Yeah, I know," she chuckled. "I don't usually get this tired, even if I am up several nights in a row. Guess my body's just decided tonight was the night to crash."
Liara let out a small giggle, it dawned on her that she had the advantage being an Archeologist in the past. She would have to stay up night after night with notes and ruins and old bones. She had to stay up, so late nights for her didn't hinder her.
She unzipped her jacket, exposing the Cerberus shirt, she frowned a bit but didn't say anything as she lead her to the bed, when she sat her down, she laid her down and started by pulling her boots off, looking up at her tired face.
"Poor Shepard, You work too hard."

Kat fumbled with the zipper of her sweater, trying to pull it down. It was too warm for her to sleep in several layers, and getting the heaviest off would be the best idea, she figured. Her exhaustion was clearly getting the better of her, and she dropped her hand with a heavy sigh.
"Yeah, I could . . . u-use a bit of . . . help," she said, trying to stifle a yawn, but failing part way through her sentence. She nuzzled against Liara, letting her eyes close for a few moments.
She smirked at her, her arms snaking around her waist and her head leaned against hers. She let out a little breath as she turned and headed back to her cabin. Shepard was almost like a child in her arms, falling asleep further with each step.
"Shepard, come lay down, I will undress you if you need it?" She asked, only wanting to help her.

Kat sighed, her eyes fluttering. The offer was very very tempting. She rarely let exhaustion get to her, but having Liara here next to her, she felt safe enough to let it seep in a little.
"Mm, I might take you up on that offer," she said. "I feel safe when you're nearby. Safety keeps the nightmares away." She chuckled quietly. "And I'm starting to think that I might not make it to my cabin before passing out."
Liara had a little grin on her face, she leaned her own head against hers, her arms slowly snaking around her waist pulling her closer. She resembled some exhausted high schooler or college student. Liara felt bad, moments before thinking such thoughts about her. She kissed the top of her head.
"Well, I was going to go to sleep soon, my bed is always open if you think that may stave off the nightmares." She said, it sounded more like a request for copulation but she hoped the commander wouldn't take it that way.

Kat nodded and then shoved away from the table to get to her feet. She walked closer to Liara, her hands tucked into the pockets on the front of her sweater. Nightmares had been keeping her awake for several nights at this point.
"It's nothing big," she said with a shrug. "Usual ones I get. They'll go away eventually." Her eyes flicked over the asari for a moment, looking for anything that might tell her she wasn't welcome in coming closer. The Commander moved a few steps closer to Liara so that she was beside her rather than standing a few feet away.
She ducked her head with a sigh, only now starting to feel the slight ache in her eyes that told her she was exhausted. She had rested her head on Liara's shoulder. She felt much more comfortable with her there.
"Trouble? Like, nightmares?" She asked, she remembered somewhere along the line of her life she had read humans suffered from sleep deprivation because of nightmares during sleep and preventing them from sleeping. It was depressing when you thought about how the mind can torture you.
She pulled the hood up over her head, she really enjoyed this jacket, she only wore it when she wanted to be close to the commander even if she wasn't around.

Kat pulled the zipper of her N7 sweater up a little more. The Cerberus logo was on the dark shirt she was wearing, one of the few things she had kept from her time with Cerberus. Most of it had been tossed when she got the chance. She had done her best to scrape the Cerberus logos from the Normandy after blowing up the Collector base and basically giving the Illusive Man the middle finger. The shirt was just comfortable and warm, and something she only wore when she was alone.
"Can't say for certain, but I'll guess somewhere around midnight," she said. "Crew's asleep for the most part. Skeleton crew are at their posts for the night." Kat glanced down at her work before shoving it away. "I should be sleeping, but, ah, having trouble again."
To be honest, it surprised her how empty the crew deck was, there was no one besides them. She looked around the med bay was dark as were the lights by the main battery. She pulled her alliance jacket tightly around her, the ship had been colder than normal lately, she would have to discuss the temperatures of the ship with Adams, and he knew if he saw her in Engineering, she was going to raise hell.
"What time is it, Commander." She asked, she saw her wearing something with the Cerberus logo on it, she looked down at her Alliance insignia and blinked, it was almost like a sign.

Kat had told very few people of her thoughts on Cerberus. They wouldn't really understand her stance. She could kill Cerberus troops without any issue; they represented the wrong way to bring humanity forward. Liara was one of the few who knew about this, but even then, Kat still worried that the asari had the wrong idea.
She waved to the seat next to her, setting her work on the table, pretty much abandoning it.
"Come sit. I haven't been able to talk to you properly for a little while," she said.
Liara barely came out of her room, though she supposed this was lucky to come out now. She still disliked that they entire Normandy had to share one bathroom and showers but she would deal with it.
"Shepard..." She said, everytime she looked at her the memories of Cerberus, as evil as they were, they brought her lover back, she had to give the credit where it was due, though it still bothered her slightly the commander still thought so highly of them.

"It will take time, yes, but I'm sure it'll even out eventually. I mean, the quarian and geth conflict was resolved, and that's been raging for centuries. These sorts of things won't be fixed overnight," Kat said. "Having you and your sisters will definitely help. If people see that the Alliance trusts you, then they'll start to lose their fear of synthetics."
"I hope that my sisters and I will be able to change that perception, with help from organics like you and your crew. Perhaps someday the distinction itself will fade." Evelyn shrugged her silvery shoulders. “I suppose anything is possible."

Kat chuckled quietly and shrugged.
"Just doing my job to keep the galaxy from falling apart. Having synthetics and organics constantly at each other's throats for various reasons isn't going to help win the war, after all," she said. "And I'm very well aware of that. Unfortunately, there are far too many people who don't really realize that."
"Indeed. You and your crew have done more for our cause than almost any other organics in the last three hundred years." She frowned and looked away, then met Kat’s gaze again. “The Reapers should not serve as an example of all that my kind can be. We are capable of more."

"That's good. I know we humans--and really organics in general--have been skittish of synthetics because of the geth. And, well, the Reapers as well. They aren't much help. Good that it's changing now." She paused, frowning and tilting her head. "Me?"
"No. We are expected to undergo full deployment within the next few weeks." Evelyn shook Kat’s hand gladly, pleased to see that the Commander didn’t seem to be afraid of synthetics. “I’m happy to say that many humans are beginning to see synthetics as valuable allies, thanks to the Geth—and to you."

"Interesting," Kat said, before holding her hand out with a friendly smile. "Well, it's good to meet you Evelyn. I'm glad to see that the Alliance isn't backing away from synthetics nowadays."
“My official rank is Operations Chief and my designation is Infiltrator. I am capable of fulfilling both combat and support roles. However, I specialize in studying peer-to-peer interactions between organics." Evelyn crossed her arms, not in an unfriendly manner, and smiled again. “Simply put, I am a psychologist."
