Been seeing a lot of persecution lately of undiagnosed and overweight anas. And I'm here to say that your struggles are real, they're valid, and you deserve a safe community, too.

hi! sorry quick question but what does sw mean? and also what would you consider low res, medium res, and high res? im new to tumblr but not new to eds so im kinda confused
quick ana dictionary!✨⭐️✨⭐️✨
ana- “ana” “anorexia”, the shortened term for the disorder— “ana” sometimes is referred to as a metaphorical girl/person named ana/anna as a sort of martyr / prophet to the ana community. if u see sum1 use ana in a name context it’s not their friend it’s their mental illness luvvvvv
sw- starting weight the weight you “started” at. this sometimes is also considered your HW but can also be the weight you consider your ana habits/efforts to be started at.
hw- highest weight. can be your starting weight. whatever the highest you remember being. or the highest you’ve been since making efforts again.
lw- lowest weight. the lowest you’ve ever been. sometimes is CW. sometimes people mention LW as a goal weight or just as a arbitrary reference point
stats- your height, weight, age, gender identity/pronouns. (i only let ppl know i’m AFAB and she/they specifically bc i think it’s informative and helpful if someone was looking to compare information objectively for whatever reason but it’s absolutely NOT necessary or info most people need/should never ask u to provide)
high res- high restriction: in my personal definition this means the MOST restrictive; being on the lowest cal intake
med res- medium restriction: medium levels of restriction whatever that is for u
low res: low restriction meaning the lowest amount of restricting calories, meaning a higher definition of intake
omad- one meal a day
edtwt- ed twitter
edblr- ed tumblr
bc- body check (photograph to check weight and weight distribution/ specific way of posing,etc)
thinspo- inspirational photos of thin people / inspirational words from or about thin people and being thin
meanspo- mean spirited thinspo usually text format as a motivation for people who work well with negative reinforcement
sweetspo- opposite of meanspo. works for ppl with positive reinforcement
mutual- someone following u and u follow them back/ usually used in the context of would you like to be mutuals (as in an offer to be edblr friends/friends in general/ be active on each others accs)

Weight loss tips
⚠️TW⚠️: If you want to lose weight the healthy way or you’re in recovery, do not read
Do not ask for food ever (especially not junk food)
If you b1nge, always make up for it somehow. Some examples of purg1ng: Burn the calories off by exercising, throw up or ⭐️ve yourself the next day. The most important point is that each day in your weekly calorie intake has an average that will make you lose weight.
Go to the grocery store and look at food. You’ll get exercise from it + you can look at the labels on the food to keep track on what has the lowest calories (this doesn’t work for everyone, and can be stressful for some. Personally I love it)
Be honest with yourself - Don’t lie about your weight on your blog or to others irl (unless you have to say it’s higher so they don’t worry). If you lie to yourself and others, it’s gonna be harder to find motivation. Do NOT make excuses!
ALLWAYS round your calories up!
Use natural laxatives such as coffe and fruits and berries. Foods that are high in finer are often good for your digestion
If you can’t sleep because you are very hungry and you have to wake up early the next day, eat. You don’t have to eat a lot. Eat foods that will improve your sleep such as kiwi, banana, almonds, dairy, almond milk or green tea. It always works for me. I usually have 1/2 banana and some green tea, perhaps some almonds too. Sleep is important for you.
If you’ve stayed up late, do not wake up at like 5 am. When you don’t get enough sleep, it fucks up your cravings. Trust me, get the sleep. (I like to stay up late, not eat and sleep for a long time in the weekends so I can skip breakfast and perhaps lunch without seeming suspicious. I do not get b1nging urges at night, but if you do, then this tip is not for you)
Drink A LOT of cold water💧 Your body burns more calories heating up your inner organs
If you don’t want people to hear your tummy rumbling, drink a lot of water to trick your stomach. This doesn’t work that well, but it helps. When you’ve been doing it for a long time your stomach will get used to it and not rumble/ as loud. I read somewhere that most of the sounds you hear from your stomach, others can’t hear.

SCHOOL DAYS-limit 900 breakfast coffee or a cup of tea if you have parents that make you eat,opt for fruit,one piece of toast,yogurt or a smoothie occupy the time with a good book lunch spend it in the library studying,doing homework or reading if you bring lunch, give it to friends or throw it away. Have a low calorie drink instead afterschool do an extra curricular,go to the library or study somewhere out of the house. Do something away from home and all the snacks at least for an hour. Dinner Whatever your parents cook,just do not eat all of it If you have a sweet tooth,have something under 150 calories spend the evening doing a dark academia-esque activity
WEEKENDS-limit 1000 breakfast-same as week day lunch-something under 300 calories,try to incude lots of veg and a protein dinner-whatever your parents make,don't finish all of it snacks-1 snack between lunch and dinner under 100 calories no dessert
