Writing Prompt: Men In Black

AU - Shortly after Lila shows up, a frustrated Marinette sends a message to the Italian Embassy.

"Hello, as someone with Italian citizenship (through my father and grandmother), I was wondering why the child of a member of diplomatic staff is attending an unsecured public school without protection, while publicly advertising her status as the child of a foreign diplomat?"

Mostly she was hoping that Lila's mom might get reprimanded, and as a result rein in her daughter.

She was surprised when, instead, several Interpol agents were at her house when she woke up.

Marinette: I- I swear! I wasn't threatening her! I didn't do anything! Interpol Agent: You don't understand Miss. We're not here because you're in trouble. At least, not with us. We're here because we need your help. Marinette: My... Help? Interpol Agent: Yes. You see, when Miss Rossi left Italy, she didn't have any children. Somehow in the last month, without notifying the Italian government, she's acquired a 14 year old daughter. That is... Concerning. Marinette: Wait, what? Interpol Agent: Best Case scenario, our diplomat has been involved in an illegal adoption. More likely, this "Lila" is using some form of mind control. Either way, we have some hard questions for her.

Stop using these words to mean "non-queer". Unless you're talking about EVERY straight person, don't say straight. Unless you're talking about EVERY cishet person, don't say cishet. Unless you're talking about EVERY allocishet person, don't say allocishet.

I've seen a lot of people switch from "straight" to "cishet" and from "cishet" to "allocishet" but none of these are good words to use.

hets can be trans, cishets can be asexual, allocishets can be intersex aroallos, hets can be heteroflexible, cishets can be polyam non-binary, allocishets can be agender cuspers. these are just a handful of identities out of MANY, and they already cover a shit ton of people in the queer community. they are not less queer than you.

my heart goes out to the queerhets, cisqueerhets, allocisqueerhets, and all your queer wonder and weirdness and whimsy.

ngl it's been ages since i've actually written an irl friend encouraged me to get back into writing

she asked me to start simple and challenged me to write on the prompt "ocean" within 50 words here it is:

To this day people will cry over the knowledge and works destroyed when the library of Alexandria was burned down.

And yet no tears are shed as Palestinian archives and libraries are bombed.

Saint Porphyrius Church, a structure built in the 5th century and the 3rd oldest church in the world has been bombed.

It's not an accident.

Israel aren't simply killing Palestinians, they are trying to erase that there ever were Palestinians in the first place.

Destroying their livelihoods, trying to to destroy their culture and history and pretend this land was never there's.

It's easy to deny someone's existence when there's no record of them.

Which is why it's so important to look at the atrocities and bear witness to what's happening.

But to also recognise that Palestine is more than it's suffering.

There is a living breathing culture, of art, history, literacy which all come from the Palestinians.

Traditions they've carried for centuries.

So while we mourn the dead, we shall fight for the living. Fight for the preservation of their crafts, amplify their voices as they speak on their culture.

Palestinian history and culture is alive. And no matter how much the world wants to erase that, they cannot and will not.
