This oneshot tore my heart out and put it back together. I’m sucker for post-canon works, but this one with Mikasa, Jean, and Armin trying to settle into a new rhythm and dealing with grief is such a standout.

He’s Just Kidding by RichiesToesHurt

This gave me ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’ vibes in the best way possible. Although the story is a standout, the side characters of this one are absolutely phenomenal as well.

It’s hard to put The Endling into words, or compare it to other works, because it’s in such a league of it’s own. Gay space pirates, some of the best worldbuilding I’ve ever read, beautiful prose, and a compelling story. Even if you’re not an Eruri person, just go read this, I promise.

I have never seen the first chapter of a work get such much immediate praise as I did with this, but is it ever worth it. You're given an insight into the relationships of the characters through an eclectic shared playlist which follows them through a shared swan song.

You walk through History Retold holding hands with the main character as you both figure out the path their life has taken years after the fact. Beautifully done side characters, gut-wrenching angst, and a plot line that will leave you breathless.

First of all, huge trigger warning for many, many aspects of this fic. Second of all, holy fucking shit is this ever genius. Thriller and erotica is such a winning combo for this fic, and there isn't an update on this yet that hasn't made me audibly react to the writing.
