there's this fic that always sticks in my head because it's about cas developing an interest in [Thing] (yes I have to be vague bc it's a semi-popular fic) and cas is 100% IC, the reasoning for why he's interested in [Thing] is well thought out etc... but dean is SUCH a miserable fucking cunt about it even though [Thing] was just 2 degrees to the left of something dean enjoys. He's not even confused or even mildly annoyed, but genuinely pissed off? like imagine if someone wrote a fic where Sam drops his bowl of arugula mid-munch to call cas a stupid loser for enjoying kale. the most mindboggling 5k I've read in my life.
