I just finished Scarred by Emily Mcintire! It was literally just like The Lion King with two brothers but different in a way. There’s a lot of romance in it. Very graphic violence scenes and sex scenes so if you’re not into that kind of stuff don’t read it. But if you are then I would highly recommend this book! So good 10/10 or 5/5! It’s just an emotional rollercoaster the whole time and it grips you and doesn’t let go until the very last page. Just amazing!!!!!!! I will review the other books she wrote and give my honest opinions on each! Hope it sounds intriguing cause it’s literally my new fave book not gonna lie!!!!!! Read at your own risk!!!!!

The part of Half Lost by Sally Green when Nathan gave Gabriel his father’s ring. From the way it happened he was nervous about how he would go about giving it to him. And before the way he came up with that idea of giving Gabriel the ring was just perfect. Marcus was always on Nathan’s mind so giving Gabriel something so significant and meaningful and thoughtful (which face it isn’t his strong point…being vulnerable and nervous) but Nathan doesnt mind Gabriel seeing him vulnerable and is only ever “soft” (as much as he can be with anyone) and that says a lot. Like Nathan isn’t the type to show his emotions besides anger to anyone but Gabriel. Nathan has been through a lot and to find his intended partner; his soulmate in Gabriel was just so powerful because it shows that Nathan is both “White” and “Black” a perfect mixture and I think that Gabriel brings out the best of him. Gabriel is patient (except when Nathan pisses him off but even then he’s not explosive just quiet and calm…like a deadly calm) and makes Nathan look into his reasons why he feels the way he feels. And then with the whole “accepting his Gift” Gabriel told him to accept it and not fight it. And that he felt bad for the animal. But then he just said that Nathan lives better by feeling things and experiencing things. I think that’s true cause Nathan used his feelings to make his magic stronger and more I guess potent. It’s more powerful when he accepts his emotions and doesn’t let them consume him. Gabriel gives him balance and peace of mind. I mean the way Gabriel pushes Nathan to be his best self is just so amazing cause no one has ever told Nathan that before (not even Arran or Deborah or his grandmother). He was taught fear and hatred and not to trust people but he trusted Gabriel after the whole bathroom scene at the apartment. I could tell that Gabriel liked Nathan when they first met but I would have loved to see a book about Gabriel and everything that led up to him being Mercurys “inside man” and how he felt and what he was thinking when he first saw/met Nathan at the airport. And his feelings throughout the rest of the series of Nathan’s behavior and the way he treated him (Nathan to Gabriel) and how he came to love Nathan and when he first realized it. And I wonder when Nathan first realized he loved Gabriel. And if Nathan stayed a tree forever or if he ever became human again. I doubt that though. I think he will stay a tree forever to be with Gabriel which I think is so romantically sad. They’ve been through so much and they didn’t even get a happy ending. Like I wish they would have had kids and done the marriage thing. I wonder what kind of wedding they would’ve had. If Nathan would have let Gabriel plan the whole thing cause he’d be uncomfortable having a party anyway. But Gabriel would’ve included him in the planning just to get his opinion on things. Make him feel included in the day.

I was wondering about this after reading Half Bad by Sally Green… so Nathan and Gabriel’s relationship. Like I think that Nathan’s animal like “bonded” with Gabriel’s spirit. You know how wolves bond with their soulmate or whatever? Like in Twilight the werewolves imprint with their intended partners (Jacob and Renesme) well I think that happened with Nabriel. Cause Nathan and Analiese weren’t meant to be (and for that I am very happy) not just cause of everything that happened between them but like his animal didn’t “bond” with her spirit like Gabriel’s did. I think in a way they imprinted on each other. Like I mean looking at their relationship they’ve been through a lot together and they bonded and then Nathan got his gift and embraced his animal after he basically told him that he needed to accept it (his gift) and not fight it. Like I got all the feels!!!!!! Analise never accepted Nathan’s “Black” side and only saw and accepted his “White” side and then all that stuff with her brother and Marcus (ugh I mean I get it but it still sucked even if she had her reasons) and Nathan’s animal (IMO) “told” him to look more at Gabriel and see where it goes. And then the whole Nabriel scene where Nathan helps Gabriel become a Black witch again (I just freaking loved that part!!!!!) his (Nathan’s) animal bonded even deeper with Gabriel’s soul and then they got together. I think Nabriel was like fated or whatever because I mean through all the fights and hurt feelings and stuff they still became to each other more than they ever realized they needed. Like I just love Nabriel. Like the way they fell for each other (at different times) and so hard and complete it just makes me want someone like them in my life. Like a person like Nathan who is emotional and tough and brave and selfless and Gabriel who is confident and kind and loving and patient. I think there’s someone out there for everyone like that out there. Like the perfect mixture of both; someone who is a perfect blend of Nathan and Gabriel.

Violet and Phoenix will always be with me. In truth I wish they had ended up together. Like no hate for Lincoln but Phoenix was there for her when her life was falling apart and she needed someone to talk to (before she told Steph). I mean she literally just found out she’s Grigori and that Lincoln is her partner or whatever and he never told her. I mean I know he wasn’t supposed to until the time was “right” but I mean ugh!!!!! But Phoenix was there and was her friend through her tough time and he was always there. Even though everything that happened between them they still had a bond I believe was stronger than her and Lincoln’s. Her and Phoenix had chemistry and real feelings. He never lied to her about what he was or anything and she trusted him. And the ending of Empower was just 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭!!!!! #VioletandPhoenixforever!!!! They were a more relatable couple than her and Lincoln. I mean I love Lincoln but Phoenix is a better person than he will ever be!!!! Jessica Shirvington should have made her and Phoenix be together. I mean she loved him but Lincoln was always gonna be her whatever and I get that he was her first love and all but i mean she slept with Phoenix and everything and I just can’t even!!!!! I wonder if Phoenix ever found love in his human life. I mean Violet said good bye to him and never saw him again but i always wondered what happened to Phoenix after everything. Did he live a long and happy life? Did he have children? Was he happy? Did he think of her wherever he went? Did they ever see each other again? Like so many questions. 😔 Phoenix deserved happiness more than anyone IMO! Like he went through a lot and he sacrificed a lot and I hope he was happy in the end. I feel for him so much like poor Phoenix!!!!

Correct me if I’m wrong but in the book Half Lost by Sally Green I believe that Nathan and Gabriel were the perfect couple. I mean Nathan went through a lot in his life and he needed someone to look at him and love him for him and not because of his “White” side or his “Black” side. Annalise wasn’t his soulmate like Gabriel was…although her and Nathan did love each other she didn’t accept his “Black” side she only saw the “White” side..the side that she wanted to see. But Gabriel accepted both sides and loved him all of him and I think that if they had lived then they would have loved happily ever after and had children of their own. I mean even though Annalise had Nathan’s kid I don’t think she would have been what he had wanted her to be to him in that sense. I do wonder what happened to Edge after the series ended. I mean that Nathan would’ve been a good dad although he had issues with his own dad he would’ve been there for his son and taught him all the things he had learned..the good stuff I mean. And Marcus..I wonder how he would’ve felt about Edge. If he would have accepted him (Edge) since he had a “White” witch mother like Nathan did. Marcus didn’t really approve of Nathan and Annalise cause of what him and Nathan’s mother went through but as long as Nathan was happy then he would have approved of their union or whatever. Nabriel will always love in my heart and I will always love them. They’ve both been through so much and deserve to be happy. I just wish the series would have ended on a happier note. I mean I literally cried for like an hour after I finished Half Lost. Like I was bawling my eyes out. Nabriel deserved so much better than how it all ended. But I’m glad that even in death they are together forever. And the ring that Nathan gave Gabriel for his birthday that his dad gave him..I literally cried because that was the only thing besides the three gifts that his dad gave him. And for Nathan to give it to Gabriel i just had all the feels. Like can we just say what a cute couple they were!!!! I mean of all the couples that I’ve read I think Nabriel is my ultimate favorite. They’ve been through so much and I just love that they came together the way they did and loved each other so fiercely and completely that they found each other and went through a lot together. I just love them so much!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😩😩😩😩😩😩😩🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

- detective fights crime and is very family operated. Catholic beliefs. New York City is one of the settings but not the main one
