Honestly, sometimes I think I don't want rich people involved with politics at all. On the one hand, somebody hacing all that money to just spoil themselves is disdainful, but on the other, somebody being able to affect who wins an election or anhthing else of major importance just because they released a lot of really good songs grosses me out more

Me: Oh um actually-

The Waiter: (Looks me up and down) It'll be mild.

I am not familiar with the works of Tarantino but if the guy wants to retire after 10 movies that's his right! Doesn't mean its for everyone but if the guy genuinely doesn't want to keep working forever he doesn’t have to!

I have decided that I don't actually like hanging out with people who have the same interests as me. We simply can not both talk about Roman battle techniques, it just does not work

PDA has shot way up on campus this year. I had noticed the lack of PDA years prior but just assumed Sakatchewan wasn't about that but guess it was just a COVID thing cuz now everybody's ALL OVER EACH OTHER

It's becoming more and more apparent to me that I am of the generation whose parents gave them cutesy white people names like "Brylin" and I- I can not stand it. I can not say "Brylin" with any seriousness. Please tell me you have a middle name

Everybody's like "Wah I want long albums back" WRONG the ideal album length is 45 minutes. I want filler in my TV shows NOT my albums

I don't know how I feel about the tipping debate. Like it's not all just about not being paid a livable wage. High-end places that pay their waitstaff well still expect tips because if you can afford to eat there you can afford to show your waitstaff a little extra love. And when tipping culture developed I'm pretty sure it was not "these people can't eat if you don't pay them yourself" it was "this person literally waited on you so you can show your appreciation through tipping"

So for most of my life I've had dreams where something minor would happen in them and then months/years later it would happen in real life and I was a little worried I had like- brain damage but I am now hearing so many other people saying the same thing happens to them which probably means this it's just like an insubstantial glitch in my memories so that's pretty sweet

So, I'm walking down the street and BOOM! There's the guy who I turned down last year. Awkward. AVOID. I go into a building to wait for my bus. I'm home free, right? WRONG. Because apparently- his presence cursed me.

Not 10 minutes later a guy in a group comes up to me says "excuse me" before turning back to his friends I wait, expecting he needs directions, instead he then goes "My friend, the one to the left in the grey he likes you". Well, they're all in grey and are already walking so I don't see this mysterious friend. Then, the last one pauses and says "Sorry about that" before WINKING at me and leaving.

10 minutes after that it's finally time for my bus but it's halfway down and across the street so I go but guess who's parked at the red light? THEM. AND THEY HONKED AT ME.

I like X-Men '97, God knows I would love if some cartoons from my childhood got continued (Spectacular Spider-man pls) but I do worry about kids today never getting anything of their own

I'm seeing some calls for 22 episode seasons and I think, like- sitcoms should be that long, but people forget that with that many episodes a really good show would still have like 3 crappy eps a season. Now, don't get me wrong, I want more episodes, I want filler, just not more than 16 episodes of it (I'm still hoping streaming at least starts to shoot for at least a 10-13 episode model)

God, my econ prof sucks. Today's quote- "Do you know what just happened? And BTW this is nice to hear- the Russians just declared the LGBT to be extremists"

Um, EXCUSE ME, sir, wtf do you mean by that?

Just realized I'm as close to 26 as I am to 16 and threw up a little

Out of curiosity, I googled my crazy econ prof to see what all he had published and found an article from last year supposedly predicting the long-term impacts of BRICS, but unfortunately, although unsurprisingly, it was actually just a 16 page long tirade on how the "green dream" and "identity politics" have turned the west into the communists in the new cold war

You know if Trump did die from natural causes; conspiracy would go rampant, everybody would be saying it was the CIA, there could be riots, the Republican party would martyr him for their cause possibly for decades

The best chance of that not happening is him only dying after decades of being politically irrelevant, and I'm afraid that's just not going to happen
