I think he's hiding who he truly is;

Wearing a disguise;

And pretending he's something else;

But I just caught a glimpse of his true self;

When he smiled with the wrong mouth.

I think I saw sharp teeth;

I can't be sure, but something is off;

I think I see dark fur creeping from underneath.

I'm sure he's not what he seems;

But he keeps that idea just out of reach.

He says it's not right;

He says that I don't know;

But no matter, the thought begins to grow.

I think he's the wolf of which mother's teach;

But as I look into his eyes;

Sometimes he just seems so kind;

He tells me that he loves me;

Could that all really be lies?

Often he is as sweet as a lamb;

But now I know that I've just always been a fool;

For he's never actually been a ram;

And now I know what's under that wool.

A monster in plain sight;

He is hiding what is within;

He has always been the wolf;

Disguising under sheep's skin.
