@prettyvintageafternoon i imagine that it would go something like this.

It was not unheard of for Bruce to lurk in the shadows of his home. He was a grown man and no one would question it if it weren't for his children who caught him brooding about while wrapped in a dark blue blanket. It was a phenomenon that wasn't rare but somehow none of his kids could manage to catch it on camera.

"What do you have there?" Bruce asked as he entered the kitchen to find Duke with his hand in the literal cookie jar. Duke jumped at the sudden appearance of Bruce, Duke honestly just wanted to get used to the stealthiness of the family quickly.

"A cookie," Duke shrugged slightly. Bruce looked less sleep-deprived than usual so he took it as a good sign.

"One of Alfred's cookies?" Bruce asked with a raised eyebrow. He eyed the cookies suspiciously.

"Yes," Duke admitted slowly. 

"Did you hide those from your siblings?" Bruce knew the answer to that. What Bruce won't admit is that he has Alfred make him a separate batch just for him. He's taking that secret to the grave. 

"Would you be mad if I said yes?" Duke narrowed his eyes and held the cookie jar almost protectively. The amount of effort that went into ensuring that these cookies would never be found by his family, especially his siblings. It was always a fight tooth and nail just for a crumb of the cookie.

"Only if you don't share," Bruce shrugged while reaching for a cookie of his own.

"This never happened," Duke established a mutual understanding for the two of them. Just them and their late-night cookies. 

"Agreed," Duke watched as his adoptive figure disappeared into the shadows. He was pretty sure he heard a heavy thump from a little way down the hallway.

Jason Todd but every time you guys play fight, he makes sure that you win.

It’s ironic, this 6 foot something, 200+ pound unit of a man that could easily manhandle you, lets you whoop his ass when you guys playfight.

Little giggles and quips is a set reminder that he’s in a safe space. Even when he does manage to get on top of you, he always leaves an open spot for you to gain the upper hand.

And after you do manage to get on top of him, holding his arms down playfully, you give him a little kiss, reminding him that there is no other plan he’d rather be vulnerable than in your arms.

Sometimes he starts play fights because he wants to be held but doesn't want to ask. It's a win-win scenario because now he gets to be held by you with kisses being placed all over his face and now you think you could beat him in a fight.

I will say, this happens when he wants to feel vulnerable. Jason will not hesitate to simply move you out the way if necessary. Like literally, wil pick you up (regardless of size. I mean have you seen Jason that's a big boy, he got it) and drop you off on the bed and simply walk away. It's the subtle reminders sometimes that he could really handle you if need be.

Hold on. Let me set the scene a little. It's a gala. Okay, Bae, Bruce and Clark are in a secret relationship because Clark didn't want his journalistic integrity questioned and Bruce didn't want Bae to be drug through the wringer of media outlets. The plan was for them all to sneak out together as the night carried on. This plan was disrupted when some random billionaire decides to continuously flirt with Bae and she's like 'why not'. So they are just kekeing it up on the dance floor and Clark clocks it first, he tries to give her the benefit of the doubt but then five minutes turns into ten into fifteen into twenty. At this point Bruce notices how Clark is doing his best not to shatter another champagne glass. So in true Bruce Wayne fashion, he interrupts the conversation by flexing how much money he has and then drags Bae to a secluded bathroom where Clark is already waiting. Let's just say Bae fucked around and found out.

you know what's crazy, i was gonna make this a plot point in the fic that I'm drafting.

Anyhow, I don't think she would only because she holds her father very dear to her heart, probably more than her siblings. Remember in Queen Charlotte and she was like 'I have to hold myself a part from everyone' or whatever. That's how she feels about her relationship with Benedict. He's willing to marry her and join the royal family but she doesn't want to put that kind of pressure on him. But love is love and may it always prevail.
