Okay I had not heard of "bio breaks" prior to this latest episode but they mention them several times. Now, if my inference is correct, are they like "bathroom breaks" but broadened to be for any biological function because there's more discretion that way? I like that, I really do like that as a term.

I feel like "Why did you make such a cursed creature? / He's just a guy!" about Gilear, "Regular freak" about Bobby Dawn, and one of the lines about KL CK being boring should be a trifecta "in this word the greatest sin is being average"
in the words of the great gorgug thistlespring, kipperlilly copperkettle is a "regular freak"

Alright, everyone's got their theories, so here's mine.
It's flimsy, and honestly I'm not super attatched to it, but I never am with theory crafting, it's just fun for me. I think there's a chance KL CK is trying to redo what happened with Kristin. Chosen of sun god dies, has a crisis of faith, dies and comes back with this ability to create a new god, eventually dies again to a unicorn skeleton and brings back a goddess with night as one of the domains. Dichotomy of day and night.
I saw someone else mention maybe the Ratgrinders went to the Mountains of Chaos for spring break last year, found out the sister of Lucy's goddess was corrupted and destroyed, then when they get back, they find out the stuff about Kristen, whose new goddess was also corrupted and destroyed. If a cleric of the sun can bring back a goddess of night, maybe a cleric of winter can bring back a goddess of summer. So they kill Lucy in hopes of starting the process with Kristen, putting that mark so she can't be brought back by mortals, perhaps only by divine intervention. They wanted to make it easier for Lucy to have ties to this summer goddess, so they invoked her with the mark of her name, but it only destroyed Lucy entirely.
So then Ms. Fourdogs thinks, maybe it's the Helioic aspect. Maybe it's that crisis of faith that comes from questioning a fundamentally flawed and cultish religion like Helio's. Maybe that sort of questioning, wondering why bad things happen to good people, why "good" aligned deities can be worshipped by evil cults, maybe that's what allows someone to question the absolute evil in a corrupted god. Maybe if they kill Buddy and get him to question his faith, he'll get the power and perspective to see past the fiendish aspect of Ankarna and to her deific roots- The ones of rage and conquest specifically of course, with his friends' nudging. After all, Kristen had absolute faith, and when that was shattered, moved to doubt. Buddy's total aversion to rage primes him for a 180 in the other direction.
I really think Kipperlilly might by trying to "game the system" again, to follow the steps she saw work for another party to bring them power and acclaim, like it's a formula and not an organic story series of events, in order to get the "special treatment" she thinks the Bad Kids have. I think some of their parallels to the Bad Kids might not just be because they're foils on a meta level, but also manufactured in-universe. (I could be totally off-base but I'm not sure that's Ivy's real accent, is all I'm saying.)

Fabian: “Wait, you’re Sandra, Linda, and Faith?”
Fig: “And all 40 complicated women.”
Gorgug: “And their male producer?”
Fig: “And their male producer, yeah.”

Popping to tumblr from my laptop to say that I came up with my Mentopolis OC, P.T. Recks (pattern recognition) well before I saw the adventuring party episode where they talk about it. I even have a whole thing where he "had targets on his back" for recognizing patterns not accepted by mayor logic and other "mainstream thought" (his words), so he publishes those under a false name: Perry Dolia (paradolia, AKA false patterns). Watching this AP episode is wild.
Okay now to return to my "none of my big internet time sinks" sabbatical.

“Fucked up little girl” is Shining twins energy, in my mind. Quick, who’s a dude like that?
"Fucked up little guy" is only a gendered trope insofar as "fucked up little girl" is a different trope entirely. A female character can in fact be a fucked up little guy.
(Admittedly, it's very rare to see a male fucked up little girl, but in principle the converse should hold true as well!)

Way back in February of 2020 I started this post and never finished it because I was brain fried and couldn’t make up things for the rest of the group. I think my two assessments hold up.
Fantasy High Bad Kids In Four Words
Gorgug: big axe, bigger heart
^ Very true and good. I think it was said, “everyone needs a Gorgug in their life.” I concur.
Fabian: entitled and yet deserving
^ I think this one also still works, esp with Brennan’s “I hate this but he’s canon popular with good grades now.” Listen, I STILL get flashbacks to the cultist massacre on the pirate ship, I think Fabian has earned this.

It’s just now occurring to me that Kristen’s salsa hat was just the cowboy hat filled with salsa in the brim. For some reason I missed that first part, and thought she had somehow obtained a Homer Simpson-esque nacho hat

Okay so I figured the IG fandom might be interested in this headcanons I’ve had for a few years now. You know how in the episode “The Amazon,” we meet Professor Von Slickstein, the person who made Gadget’s gadgets?
Well, we also get in that same episode something I’ve always found interesting: he has the ability to copy a human mind to a machine, and then transfer that copy as many times as he wants to robots or animals.
My theory? Brain is so-named because he was lab-raised to be such a brain-vessel, a modified, nearly indestructible dog, Furthermore, he’s already fulfilled his purpose: I believe brain contains the minds of BOTH of Penny’s parents. I think both of her parents also worked in international law.
In some of the pictures around their home, there are some images of a man who looks like Gadget, but is blond. From a Doylist perspective, this is just a coloring error in the background art. From a Watsonian view, I believe this is Gadget’s brother and Penny’s dad, who was raising Brain so that should anything happen to any of them, a version of themselves could still watch over Penny. What he didn’t anticipate was both himself AND his wife passing away, leaving only one “body” for the both of them.
The thing is… I think Slickstein told them that Brain had been further modified to be exceptionally intelligent, but I’m not really sold that he actually told them the full truth. I think perhaps Penny’s parents might’ve realized it could be too weird for their daughter and brother (+in law) to see them live on via a dog, so they arranged to keep to project a secret.

I’ve often thought they should make Inspector Gadget a proper anime. At least a miniseries in the original animation style, but the rest (writing, voice acting, etc) is also done in an anime studio. I just think it would be neat.

No but how did I miss this one
im actually the dumbest person alive I cant believe i didnt realize this until leafy was like haha tcom hamlet au but like. Tcom is literally hamlet. Like. The story’s slightly different but now that I’m thinking about there’s literally so many parallels like it HAS to be intentional. And actually the story is pretty similar too, like hamlet is jack, his dad Tank Mann who’s like the head of his wealthy powerful important family goes missing, his wife cheats on him with Frank, Tank Mann sends tapes back, and the Mann family basically goes slowly insane. And then in Hamlet, Hamlet’s father, the king, dies (instead of goes missing), his wife the queen (doesn’t rlly cheat on him cuz he’s dead) but immediately marries Claudius (who like Frank is also kind of the villain and obsessed with power and money), and the kings ghost comes back to talk to hamlet (instead of the tapes), and everyone in the royal court also goes slowly insane. Like Jack slowly getting more and more emo and angry as tcom goes on is literally so much like hamlet, and they both really miss their dad who they think is great for some reason but isn’t (hamlet sr might actually be chill I’ve just always felt like he probably sucked so). And Courtney being Gertrude (the queen) and Frank being Claudius is actually so perfect. And Oh My God also how did I not realize the whole poison in the ear thing literally happens in hamlet just like in tcom (except it’s poison being put in someone’s ear not a tooth, but like the tooth obvs fucked up jack’s ear so pretty close to poison I think). And for both of them this is supposed to represent a motif of communication causing corruption which actually is a huge theme in both of them now that I think about it. And now that I’m thinking about it there’s a bunch of other stuff too and I just. bro. Maybe this was like super obvious to everyone but me but I am just now realizing it and im. Having A Moment. This probably makes no sense and is very confusing and probably no one cares but. I just can’t believe I’m just now realizing this. Also I have to stop typing my brain is going too fast and I’m about two seconds away from trying to connect every single character in tcom to their counterpart in hamlet which I will probably be unable to resist doing at some point but should try to avoid rn so I can sleep

I did this! I did this in my modified Spelljammer Game (made years prior to release of 5e spelljammer)! Because it’s literally supposed to combine different D&D settings, I made a huge compendium of all D&D settings, past and present, all cosmologies, all races, even games they’ve crossed over with like Magic The Gathering and Pathfinder! And I made it into one giant space adventure where some alien worlds use completely different systems!
It’s been almost a year since we last played. Several players left before even starting (but AFTER weaving their characters into the story), some left soon after starting. We’ve only played like 5 sessions maximum. Years of work…
Yeah guys it’s best to limit that approach too one-off characters unless you wanna be disappointed.
introduce characters made in older or newer versions/editions of the game you are playing and simply claim they are from different eras or cultures

One of my players’ characters is literally a living pumpkin whose limbs are vines, named Jack. When asked his full name in a pre-game session, he improvised “O’Lantern” as a surname. So that’s who he is now.
A barbarian who fights with a giant pumpkin. He calls everything spooky, even regular things. His name is Jack O. Lantern
