You know if Tangled with a hard watch for a

Usagi, because of the lantern scene reminding him of him being alone in the festival. after the events of chapter 15 I think that's going to be a hard watch for him, too many bad memories

A bit of spoilers for chapter 15 of TWOFFF

Tangled (while it is one of my favorite Disney princess movies) is a rough watch for Usagi.

At first it’s a fun adventure. He can see why people like the movie. Rapunzel is optimistic and Flynn’s character growth is excellent. He can see why they make a good couple. The animation is fun and while he’s still not used to all the singing he can see the appeal. He lives around Leo and his brothers they sing a lot (plus Jupiter Jim has musical numbers he’s experienced this before)

In the beginning of the movie when they talk about the lanterns it does remind him of the yoake festival but it’s a passing thought. Something he’s excited to have a connection to.

Then they get to the actual lantern scene and he’s watching Eugene and Rapunzel having this magical moment surrounded by paper lanterns as they sing ‘I see the light.’ And he aches. He and Leo didn’t get that moment. Yes it’s because Leo got pulled back to his family. Which is way better then some of the alternatives Usagi thought off. (Being dragged back to the Krang) but it still sucks that their romantic moment was taken from them. That the moment of Usagi’s triumph, of the tournament he won, where he fought in Leo’s honor, the moment of celebration was taken.

He’s glad Leo was safe. Knowing what he knows now about Hikiji his world wasn’t as safe for Leo as he had believed at the time. But seeing what he incisions for them playing out in the screen does make his heart hurt.

And then the lovers are separated by a misunderstanding and manipulation. It’s not the same and yet so similar.

He can feel his dread building. As Eugene gets rescued, as Rapunzel stands up for herself, he knows it’s going to be bad.

He isn’t expecting Eugene to get stabbed. And he knows Eugene’s going to sacrifice himself for Rapunzel.

He can feel Leo going stiff beside him and the room go dead quite. The Hamato’s have all scene the move before but everyone in the room is putting the pieces together it real time and no one is okay.

And of course it’s Rapunzel’s love that saves Eugene in the end.

All in all it’s uncomfortably familiar to everyone.

Not enough for a panic attack or anything but enough that Leo and Usagi are curled against each other by the end of the movie. Enough that the others have squeezed in close to them. Enough that they have to put on another move rather then go to bed because no one wants to be alone with their thoughts right now. (Really hope they don’t put on something like big hero six next) most likely they put in a comedy something pointless that they can all chuckle at. Though I doubt Usagi or Leo will be laughing the rest of the night.

One day I think he might love the movie. It’s so similar yet different from their own story. Maybe after a while when the wounds aren’t so fresh and they’ve had time to process it. He might really like it.

Maybe it’s Sakura and Ume’s favorite. They’ve been to the yoake festival so the paper lanterns are familiar and dazzling. They e also heard child friendly versions of their parents story. They can see the parallels.

I think Mikey or maybe Lisa puts the movie one when they are watching the kids. Lisa wasn’t there, she’s heard the story but again who would make that connection. And Mikey probably just put in Disney plus with the kids and the movie popped up. Enough times passed, Leo and Usagi aren’t there it should be fine.

Except kids get hyper fixated on things and the girls want to watch it all the time.

I think eventually it gets to the point where Leo and Usagi are comfortable watching it with their kids. It’s a mile stone of healing. So much so that maybe when their alone Usagi will him the tune to ‘I see the light’ (he has always liked the song and he hears it at least once a day now) and Leo will sing and it’s peaceful.

RISE!TMNT | Dump/One Shot | I see a lot of waiter Usagi and pinning Leo. In this tumblr blog we stan Waiter Leo and pinning Usagi. Part 2 of Part 2

When Usagi returns from his short weekend trip visiting his Aunt's farm. He was not expecting the mass talk that greeted him before his own welcoming did.

"Did you hear about Kaitos new waiter?!" Kistune nearly crashes into Usagi as she all but sprints to the poor rabbit. Looking confused, Usagi points over his shoulder as Spot, stopping knee height now, walks into the house and finds his normal napping spot.

"Uh, no" Usagi looks unsure as he's about to give his expected answer, "I just came back from my aunt's farm…remember? For the weekend?" Kitsune looks to actually ponder on this known knowledge before she shrugs.

"Oh well, that's cool I'm hungry let's go!" Before Usagi can even speak he's dragged out the door. Spot hears the loud slam of the front door he entered through but tired from doing absolutely nothing, he sleeps peacefully in the not often quiet household.

"Wait, Kitsune!" Usagi is pushed down the road to the not popular but we'll love ramen shop. "Kaito?" Kitsune hums with a kick in her step.

"Yep! The little ramen shop ran by the koala guy!" Usagi does a spin and shakes his head.

"I can't go inside, remember?" Usagi raises an eyebrow. "The bucket incident?" Kitsune shrugs.

"Yeah, but that happened last year! I'm sure he forgot" Usagi doesn't look impressed.

"A ban doesn't forget, Kitsune," she laughs, grabbing him by his wrist and continuing to drag him down the road.

"Details, details" as they near they can see a crowd forming right at the door of the ramen shop. Sure, it's not unpopular but to see so many people makes Usagi raise an eyebrow. Who is this waiter? Kitsune seeing Usagi puzzlement, she claps her hands.

"Oh, wait! I need to tell you about Leo!" Usagi looks taken back.

"Leo?" She nods

"He's a kame" She goes on listing about this new waiter, each description gets a finger up "he's tall, has swords on his back ehh shell, wears blue and I think you may like him". She ends it abruptly, which makes Usagi do a double take.

"What was that?" She shrugs, smirking.

"He's funny, cute and everyone loves him, and you're" she looks him up and down, "funny enough".

"Hey!" Kistune shrugs unbothered.

"I tell it as I see it" Usagi crosses his arms over his chest.

"Okay" he says moving his hip to the side, "how do I get in without being immediately tossed out?" Like magic, a huge cape appears and is thrown over Usagi's shoulders.

"What? Where?" She has him by his wrist once more as they head to the ramen shop.

"Thank me later"

Somehow Kitsune manages to bullshit her way inside and Usagi must say he's impressed. Not only is every chaired seated as well but there is also a line of people who are willing to order their food to go if it even meant-

"Hi!" Usagi's mind gets interrupted and as soon as he makes eye contact with the new kame waiter his brain stalls. "What can I get for you?"

Usagi will yell at Kitsune for lying later, he isn't cute.

He's gorgeous.

Usagi feels his tongue thicken and brain flatline because what does he want?

"Uh, food" The kame laughs and Usagi swears he could stare at the smile all day.

"I know that" the waiter snickers, "I mean what type?" He offers to try to get the rabbit to order quickly. Usagi sweats before he remembers there is a menu on every table already ready to go. Snatching it from his holder, Usagi searches through panicking on why he's so mixed up and when is Kitsune coming back from the bath-

"Leo!" The cry makes Usagi look up and Leo turns. Before they both cry out happily and hug each other.

"Kitsune! Hi!" They pull back and Usagi looks confused. This kame just suddenly arrived this weekend? How did they know each other so well?

"And this is my friend, Hiro" Usagi does a double take at Kitsune.

"Ah, nice to meet you!" Leo holds out his hand and Usagi trembles as he takes it and grabs it. Giving Leo one shake of his hand before diving back to the menu, making sure the cloak is covering his face. Kitsune shrugs as Leo blinks at the stuff and cold greetings.

"Don't mind him, crowds make him nervous" Leo smiles, shaking his head in agreement as he looks around.

"Yeah, Kaito tells me it's not usually this busy so I'm happy to help bring in service" kitsune nods her head.

"That's cool, you can go help others, we'll look over the menu, okay?" Leo gives her a thumbs up before he leaves. Once he's gone she sits at the table and uses the menu as a shield.

"See? Cute!" She smiles at Usagi's red face

"No!" She looks confused before Usagi adds, "gorgeous! you lied! and I looked like a complete fool!" Kistine pouts rolling her eyes

"No different from any other day" Usagi gasps.

"And why did you lie about my name?" Kitsune stares at Usagi blankly before pointing behind her at the wall of banned people to Usagi's poster bigger and more prominent than any other customer who was banned.

"Would you like to be kicked out or walked out?" Usagi glares before putting his menu down.

"Fine" kitsune smiles as she looks through the menu.

"Take a look, it's my treat" she says absentmindedly looking for what she wants to eat while Usagi's eyes land on something more worthwhile. He watches as Leo greets every table with a smile, how his eyes never leave the person talking and his smile never dims, how even the grumpiest customer after talking to Leo smiles and even cracks a laugh. If Auntie was here she would smack Usagi for how hard he's staring and not even being shy about it.

He likes watching the kame, Leo, move how his snot constricts when he laughs. Or his fingers tap on the notepad like a nervous move. Or how the heels of his feet knock together when he's talking to the customer about the menu.

"He's not on the menu" the sentence makes Usagi blink and turn to look at Kitsune, who still reads the menu diligently

"What?" She looks up over the edge of the menu.

"He's not on the menu but then again you can ask what he's serving" Usagi face goes red as he hisses

"Kitsune!"

"Kitsune!" Her cocky facial features quickly change to one of excitement when Leo calls out to her, heading there way. Usagi then realizes he was supposed to find something to eat but was too busy eyeing Leo like a huge weirdo.

"Ready to order?" Kistine nods and places her order before Leo turns to Usagi.

"And Hiro?" Usagi is too scatterbrained to even think about just reading the menu and taking the first item he sees. Instead Usagi winks as he hands Leo the menu, full of false confidence he says.

"I'll take your favorite meal on the menu" Leo smiles while taking the menus, he meets Usagi’s false confidence with real confidence.

"Oh, okay, feeling brave?" Leo chuckles. "I got you, cottontail" Leo turns just in time for Usagis face to burst bright red. Kistune laughs, reaching over to pat his hand comfortingly.

"Relax! He hasn't seen your tail, it's playful banter!"

They don't wait too long but there is a sudden hitch in the road neither were expecting. Kaito, the giant koala who banned Usagi from his establishment, heads over with their food in his hands. Kistune sweats as she then tells Usagi to cover his face with his hands. Without thinking and Kaito already super close he follows her lead and listens to Kaito read off the food and set it down.

"Is he okay?" Kistune smiles tightly.

"Yes, just a lot of noise," Kaito hums.

"Would you like a back table? It's quieter there". Usagi knows the back table is the best view from the kitchen. Usagi shakes his head as Kitsune denies verbally.

"Oh, no we are good!" Kaito raises an eyebrow, not buying it.

"Are you sure? We can " Kistaune shakes her head sternly.

"Nope! All good!" Kaito stands there momentarily as if thinking before he leans close to Kitsune.

"You look familiar" he hums and she starts to sweat.

"I? Do?" He nods, scratching his chin.

"Yeah, hey don't you run around with that rabbit?" Kitsune shrugs.

"What rabbit? I only know a rhino, cat, ghost bear and Shogun" she numbers them off her fingers. Kaito spares a lazy glance at the cloaked figure currently wishing to vanish and cursing why he even listened to Kitsune..

"You sure? The rabbit looks like that one" without looking, Kaito points to the large banned poster of Usagi on his ban wall.

"Nope I don't think-" Kaito then reaches over to remove Usagis cloak hood. Upon being found Usagi turns his head slowly and smiles sheepishly as he waves, Kistune opens her mouth as she says "oohhhhh, that rabbit?" She looks at Kaitos annoyed face "maybe, I know him". Without a word Kaito sighs before he grabs Usagi and Kitsune by the back of their clothes.

"Ban means ban” he carries them out the back past the customer, through the kitchen to the back door. “Don't care if that means you are wearing a cloak, jacket or hat!" Kicking the back door open he tosses them outside. Kitsune on the ground and Usagi he aims for the large trash bin. "If I see you again I will hire a bodyguard to keep you out!" He shuts the door before Kitsune can even get off the ground.

Kitsune scrambles up, shaking a fist as the backdoor closes. "Yeah! Well!! If you weren't -" unable to come up with a comeback she sighs. "Damn" she snapped her fingers, "had my heart on that meal".

"Come in kitsune," Usagi says, leaning on the edge of the bin. Unsurprisingly being tossed into garbage bins is not something he isn't used to. "Let's go home" he says, at least he was able to see the kame and understand the hype. With a waiter pretty and energetic as that one, anyone would keep coming back for more. Frowning they both head down the back alleys to hit the main street back.

"Wait!" Usagi stops as does Kitsune as they see Leo jogging ... with their food. "Wait" he says not even out of breath and the food remains still in the bowl. "Sorry, I uh knew it was you the whole time" Leo stares Usagi dead in the eyes as he hands him his bowl. "I didn't think Kaito would help me with a few tables sorry for not letting you know". Kitsune happily accepts her bowl and the utensil Leo keeps in his apron. "I hope that I'm forgiven?" Kitsune happily digs into her food without a second thought.

"Forgiven!" She says munching on food, Usagi doesn't say a word but freezes when Leo turns back to him.

"Are you the samurai with a yo-yo?" Usagi nods numbly. "Perfect! I need to talk to you! Tetsujin told me to wait until you came back". Before Usagi can speak Leo reaches into his apron pocket, and pulls out a small slip of paper. "Meet me here and we can talk, maybe around 11?" Then as he appeared, he vanished back inside the shop. Usagi stands there blinking before kitsune elbows him laughing with food in her mouth.

"You got a date!" Usagi blushes. Pocketing the paper carefully while minding his hot food.

"I do not!" They both turn and exit out the alleyway. Kitsune unshameful eats while Usagi holds his bowl of food. Butterflies flying viciously in his stomach for him to even think about eating.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*

*INSERT ENDING TO A GIANT CLIMATIC FIGHT I HAVE YET TO COME UP WITH*

The battle is over and Leo doesn't think he'll be able to ever use his knees again. Exhaling, he falls to the ground as his arms are unable to support him anymore. His body won’t stop buzzing, even after accepting their victory, his arms are tired and Leo doesn't think he could walk back home or anywhere.

He's so tired.

All he wants to do is sleep, and sleep and-

"Sheldon?" The battlefield is a mess with buildings destroyed and the very ground disrupted and lifted. But Leo tries anything he can to push himself up because that's his brother. That's his brother. And he's too tired and drained to even cry out that he's here, so he has to force himself to push him on his hands and knees.

"Yes?" Leo slips on some dirt and feels tears build when he falls back in the dirt. "Search for any signs of life and the reason for this mess". Clawing at the ground as tears pour from his eyes, he knows he's somewhere far away and the chances that Sheldon catches him are slim to none. But Leo continues trying to grab onto any stable ground to pull himself up. His swords are forgotten elsewhere as getting them would be a waste of time and valuable effort, so Leo just attempts to crawl into his brother's arms.

Crawl back home.

"Nada for life sighs and as for what caused this?" Leo attempts to cry out hell, even chirping in distress but he hears the sound of Donnie's voice fading as he walks away. "There is a strong conscience signature coming from something big in that direction". Leo grips onto the fallen piece of a roof that fell from a building he has no idea where as he shakes his head, no, not the Kaikishi Temple. That's the exact opposite of where Leo is!

No, no!

Don hums as if scouring the wreckage and its potential.

"No one is injured?" Leo cries, shoving his face in the dirt when the tiling off the roof slips from the foundation and Leo lands back on his plastron face in the dirt.

"No sighs" Don sighs, it's heavy and tired. Leo has heard that sign numerous times before Don has given up on a project or called it quits and left the discarded item to itself. This time Leo feels like the discarded item being left to rot alone.

NO, NO.

"Let them clean this up" Leo lets out a heartbroken unheard sob. "We don't wanna overstay our unwelcome" and like that, Leo is unable to go home for the upteenth time. “Come on Sheldon, we need to go back before raph and Mikey start to worry”, as his way home literally walks back home away from him…leaving him here. Leo is so busy crying he misses how Usagi lands quietly next to him and suddenly he's in Usagis arms. Face a wreck with tears and snot but Usagi doesn't care as his own face is bruised and battered with cuts, and blood. Before Leo can say anything, Usagi asks.

"Go to him?" It's not a complete sentence but at this time they don't need it to be. Leo just blinks before nodding his head and wrapping his arms around Usagis neck when Usagi whispers, 'hold on to me'. And like magic Usagi finds a way out of the rumble, while holding Leo close to him, never moving him too much that is necessary. Finally free from under the rubble, Leo sees his brother…exactly how he remembers heading toward a very light blue portal much like the one Leo first saw before being dropped here 7 months ago.

"Don!" Leo shouts but his voice is hoarse and the distance is too far. And Leo tries again but stops heartbroken when Sheldon enters the portal and Donnis is about to enter-

"DONATELLO!" Leo wasn't expecting Usagi to yell or that he could be that loud. But none of it matters because Donnie stops, and Usagi takes that inch for a mile as he sprints, easily balancing on various objects as he gets to Don holding Leo. Just as he lands on the ground 20ft from Don, does his twin turn. Eyes hard and narrow as his Bo points directly at them. Usagi takes a step back not expecting the purple outline of a giant gun to form while Leo laughs.

So happy to see his very adaptable and ready to go brother. At the signature laugh, his Bo is lowered as the ninpo drops, leaving Don standing there shocked. No one says a word as Leo feels tears fall down his cheek like a broken faucet.

"Leonardo?" His brother asks and Leo cries harder because he thought he'd never hear his name on his brother's tongue.

"Donatello" Leo croaks back, it is painful, hoarse and cracking but Don looks to be happy in pure disbelief, like how he looks when he finally gets a project to work on after months of failures. Usagi takes that as his cue to lessen his grip on Leo, if Leo wants to get out of Usagi's arms to go to his brother. Usagi will not stop him from doing so.

"Leo?" Don drops his staff to walk to Leo, and Usagi takes the cue to walk forward still carrying Leo.

"Donnie" Leo whispers when the distance closes quickly. And that seems to be enough for Donnie, that the turtle in this rabbit's arms is his brother. He saw flashes of Leo and co. but was too invested in the battle to even begin to think of such things.

"Nardo" Don exhales like a dehydrated man finally getting his sip of water. Snatching Leo from Usagis arms, Don spins with Leo in his arms crying as he says Leo's name like a prayer. Leo smiles his own tears never stopping as he hugs Donnie back.

"Don ton" and they crumble to the ground, Don because the relief that Leo is alive and well makes him lightheaded. And Leo because Don was the only crutch he had, while being mindful of the knee injury he hugs his brother. Usagi stands smiling as he watches the brothers reunite with tight hugs, laughs and tears.

"Donnie!" Usagi suddenly looks up shocked to see another turtle. Orange mask along with suddenly another turtle in red peak thru and pass through the portal. "When Sheldon came through and you didn't we-". When Mikey first saw Donnie on the ground he made a beeline straight for him as did the large other turtle. But his sentence stops when peeking over Don's shaking shoulders was eerily familiar blue eyes. Mikey was already crying as he shouts, "Leo!" and Mikey slams into the open space Leo and Don made for him in their tight hug. And now they all are crying as the big one comes and hugs them all. Their legs dangle in the air as they cry, some louder than others while Usagi stands respectfully to the side.

Usagi doesn't know how long he stood there or how long they cried and cried until he felt a hand on his shoulders. Jumping Usagi looks to his side at his sensei who smiles, watching the scene before them. He doesn’t really know where Gen, Chizu, Kitusne or Spot are but he knows them well enough to probably be somewhere safe or just waiting for them to return home.

"You did good, Usagi" whispers Karasu-Tengu, patting his shoulders. Leo, after shedding as much tears as he was going to, turns his head to look over the smallest turtle head who nuzzles his arm. Leo's face although is a mess for blood, cuts, bruises, tears and snot mouths gently.

“Thank you”

Usagi smiles as he leans into his Sensei's side, she welcomes his weight. Just as Leo turns back to his family as they break apart each brother throws a multitude of questions at the poor slider. Donatello (“He wears a purple mask and has a big forehead”) looks Leo up and down for any other inquiries while poking and touching, frowning when Leo smacks his hands. Raphael (“Big red guy, but a huge teddy bear“) holds Leo lower enough for Don to examine him thoroughly, chiding when Leo frowns at the touch. And little Mikey (“He wears orange, is small but has a huge punch”) just clings to Leo's arms sobbing in his shoulder.

"You did good"

As normal, ignore any writing mistakes.

There isn't much I feel I should say. I just always love Usagi pining for Leo first while Leo just watches this man amused (and lovingly) at his antics.

Bonus: Usagi later finds out there is a place within the yokai world that's like a multidimensional place and he goes there and what do you know? One portal leads to the Underground city. Cue Leo and family having a night out at Hueso and their waiter looks awfully familiar and won't stop flirting with Leo. (They all wait until Usagi is off the clock and go bowling/Laser tag). Leo's brothers love Usagi.

I think there should be more of Usagi's friends/family trying to help Usagi get with Leo or all this LeoSagi from Usagi's friends POV.

Donatello Hamato from ROTTMNT will always be the older of the twins and he's very protective. You will pull this from my cold dead ghost hands because my human body will still be clutching that shit. Meet me in Hell if you wanna pry it from me.

The dynamic in Rise between the rest of the team and Leo is. so fucking funny. Because like you've got these three extremely talented individuals who all seem like perfectly reasonable people at first glance, right, but then if you squint hard enough you realize they're actually all batshit insane (affectionate) and the clown boy standing behind them is secretly their common sense.

Clown boy will occasionally put himself and the others in danger to Prove Himself or Prove Someone Wrong (see Minotaur Maze and the movie) but like otherwise... i think people forget Leo's overwhelmingly the voice of reason in most situations?

Raph, Mikey, and Donnie are all incredibly powerful boys with very specific skill sets. They are also, as a direct result of this, the WORST decision-makers on god's green earth lmao. When presented with a problem, Raph will smash, Donnie will blow shit up, and Mikey will razzmatazz. They will all run straight toward death with the same oblivious enthusiasm of a dog about to run straight into a screen door. None of them realize this and all of them think they are Extremely Good At Problem-Solving.

And the guy cursed with the common sense to realize this is literally the LAST person anyone would expect.

When you look closely, the entirety of Rise is actually a chronicle of Leo trying to find new and creative ways to keep this team of superpowered fools alive while simultaneously white-knuckling his Cool Fun Guy persona so the others don't realize he's secretly the Boring Responsible One. Haha, you know what would be Cool and Fun, guys? Not going after the Spine Breaking Bandit lol. Getting home before the sun goes up lol. Evacuating that civilian lol. Not telling the guy dangling me off a roof "you won't, no balls" lol.

The sacred struggle of every iteration of Leonardo is thanklessly wrangling the most trigger-happy siblings in the world, and Rise Leo has not escaped it. He just does an occasional shenanigan to avoid detection and his brothers fall for it every time.

Leo's great at running away from his problems, manipulating people 24/7, annoying his enemies so much they tell him their plans, etc. When they first saw the mystic weapons, he also chose the weapon that was best for escaping (it creates portals for fuck's sake). He also uses a portal to take Karai away from the Shredder for a while. So, when the brothers get separated, he usually uses his portals to either teleport himself to them or viceversa. In the movie, we see Raph hesitate when he tells the others that Leo's still up there, because Leo could have easily done that. But he didn't, because instead of using his swords to run, he used them to get closer to the enemy and trap them both for the rest of eternity. He used his swords as the opposite he normally uses them for to save his family. Therefore, in this essay I will—

So I’ve been digging around the Turtlepedia wiki, going through old tweets from the team who worked on Rise & watched videos covering the scrapped Rise episodes so this is basically a post going through some of the scrapped season 2 stuff for Rise that I have found:

Rise was first written under the basis of there being three seasons

JJ Conway’s twitter posted an episode guide which showed some of the episodes that were expected to be in season two:

As you can see ‘The Clothes Don’t Make the Turtle’ was one of the last episode that was released that fit the original plan for Season 2 before most of the episodes got scrapped or changed & the Rise team had to rush to finish the series.

Some of the episodes we know the synopsis of while others still remain a mystery the scrapped episodes were listed in order as:

Wedding Smashers:

This episode involves Mikey & Raph going undercover as pretend villains ‘Shady Bug & Dr Rude’ to sneak into Ghost Bear’s Wedding after they accidentally gifted Ghost Bear one of Donnie inventions (a black hole generating toaster) as a wedding gift that they then need to retrieve.

The episode was supposed to introduce the character Ghostpepper, Ghostbear’s fiancé

The episode also brings up some continuity in having the characters be aware that Meatsweats has been missing since the episode Pizza Puffs where he got kidnapped by ‘Shadow fiend’ at the end, I wish this episode hadn’t gotten scrapped because it shows that the Turtles are aware that their enemies are going missing when Big Mama starts kidnapping them for her Battle Nexus New York.

This episode most likely would have shown Ghostbear be kidnapped at the end like how Meatsweats was kidnapped at the end of Pizza Puffs & Hypno was kidnapped at the end of The Clothes Don’t Make the Turtle.

Warren Stone 2:

Donnie: Stand back total stranger we are fighting our greatest foe

April kept the arm that she cut off Warren in ‘Warren & Hypno Sitting in a Tree’ & the arm ended up growing into a second Warren Stone, despite April raising this second worm in secret Warren Stone Two ends up becoming the ‘turtles greatest foe’ after Warren Stone Two captures the Turtles, April & the original Warren Stone team up to save the Turtles & defeat Warren Stone 2

Parts of the episodes storyboards can be found on youtube, a running gag appears to be Mikey referring to Warren as ‘that other worm guy whose not Warren two’

T-Hex

The episode T-Hex covers Mikey desperately wanting a robotic toy but Splinter saying no & Mikey having to sneak the electronic pet into the lair. Though the robot is adorable Mikey learns that it’s not as innocent as it seems & is actually a trap set by Baxter, the episode would have introduced Baxter in an Albearto mech

Psyched Out

Shred Dead Redemption

After the events of Manny Unhappy Returns the Foot Shack has shut down, Foot Lieutenant & Foot Brute open up a cupcake shop selling flaming cupcakes called Fire and Icing which Raph wants to investigate

The episode would have involved the Turtles doing a stakeout, a chase scene & the Foot clan putting themselves at odds with Big Mama as they investigate if her new champion ‘Shadow fiend’ has a connection to the missing Shredder.

The Island of Dr. Noe

Dr. Noe, the evil dentist from Todd Scouts ends up kidnapping Raph & Leo ends up having to lead the team in order to rescue Raph & stop the evil dentist.

Something interesting about this episode is when the Rise team were discussing this scrapped episode it was revealed that Leo wasn’t supposed to become the Leader at the end of Season 2, that’s right the iconic ‘Blue You Are The Leader Now’ wasn’t originally supposed to happen, instead Leo was supposed to be pushed into roles where he had to take charge throughout season 2 & the season would end with Raph & Leo as co-leaders.

Battle Nexus NYC (a full 20 minute episode) which was used in the series as Battle Nexus New York, the main difference between the original plan & the episode we got is that originally instead of Cassandra taking the Shredder from Big Mamma, the Grand Nexus Hotel was supposed to have fallen into the Hidden City with both Big Mamma & Shredder leaving The Foot to have to venture into the hidden city to try & retrieve the Shredder.

Toddler Mutant Ninja Turtles

A Mikey focused episode where a ‘bank robbing immortal jellyfish’ zaps Raph, Leo & Donnie, turning them into Turtle Tots & making Mikey the oldest brother for the episode. The episode is said to be inspired by the 1987 series episode ‘Adventures in Turtle Sitting’

Dog Dale Afternoon

April’s friend Dale who we first see in ‘Hypno! Part Deux’ gets turned into a werewolf by a witch & Donnie & April team up to try & turn him back to normal

Bee Story

Goyles Just Want To Have Fun

Huginn & Muninn reunite with Draxum, only to be confused when they find him working as a lunch server. Not wanting Huggin & Muninn to know how soft he’s gotten since his redemption Draxum begs the Turtles to help him look good in front of his former minions.

Rampagin’ Raph

Mikey & Leo have become more skilled in using their mystic powers making Raph feel left behind so Raph tries to practice in secret only to end up stuck in his giant form, Raph goes to to Draxum for help who ends up separating Raph & his mystic projection however the mystic projection ends up rampaging through the city becoming bigger & more powerful with the more things it destroys leaving Raph to have come clean to his brothers about what happened so they can save city.

Hot Thrash

Gourd Almighty

Donnie grows a giant pumpkin for competition & has to have his brothers help him find a way to get the giant pumpkin out of the lair

Gone Goat

Draxum walks out after having a fight with the family but then gets kidnapped by the Foot. While attempting to rescue Draxum, the family has no choice but to resolve their issues relating to him.

The Key (a full 20 minute episode)

Karai was supposed to be introduced in this episode, she was supposed to have a larger role training the Turtles & with the family spanning around 10 episodes but due to the Rise team rushing to finish the series most of Karai’s episodes were scrapped.

The rest of the episode titles were not finalised however Ron Carney’s twitter posted a schedule board where possible episode titles can be seen.

Though Ron Carney also admitted that some of these titles are fake, the episode April Showers Mayhem Flowers might be real as the team admitted to wanting to do an episode about Mayhem & their status as an agent of the Council of Heads

The Return of Monty Moose is also probably real as we can see Monty Moose appear in the Rise Movie’s scrapped intro so the team probably had plans for the character in season 2

Monty Moose is a toy line only character from the 1987 series so Rise introducing him as an actual character is kind of cool
