I totally get misceanimalis being long. I always hate having to type it out in tags. Miscecuniculus too I just see it as like the word "queer" where it's an umbrella catch-all.

I suppose in my defense I could have spoken to other miscecanis figures and ask about how to go about the label but I also know our community has a sense of "no real rules here" so I went with the Latin to follow suit as it's what I first did to see if someone had already coined the term.

I've never read Watership Down but I'll have to add it to the list :3

I certainly don't see a problem with changing the label especially as someone with dyslexia lol. I probably will opt to use it, but I'll also probably tag my posts with the other ones just so they don't get lost. But I also tend to do tags like "bunny a/b/o" or "bunny miscecanis" because those were the tags I often scraped for any substance before I went and started cultivating my own content.

So for those of you reading this conversation, if you consider me as the person to have coined miscecuniculus (I'm not even sure if I'm the first) know that I'm saying here it's fine to shift it to something else like miscecunis or miscelapin (it's cute ngl). ALSO KNOW I am not the end-all be-all spokesperson for bunnies/rabbits in the miscecanis community. I know a good chunk of you have begun to follow me and I adore you all and I'm so happy to provide a sense of belonging and you're not alone. I love to give the vibe that our community has no rules, and to do what makes you happy. So go on! :3 I'll honestly probably go on to use all three in tags but stick to a shorter one in posts (that'll be a separate post entirely).

TLDR: Personally I don't mind what labels are thrown around, similar to the MOGAI community we have a lot of overlap with. I will, personally, probably switch to something like miscelapin. HOWEVER I do think anyone who wants to cover the "niche" animals should add tags such as "[animal] omegaverse/miscecanis/a/b/o/etc." To help it reach others. Our community is small and so it's hard to spread the word unless we use the much more grounded and firm tags such as miscecanis. It's just a habit I've done as I do want others to find or stumble into my content and hopefully learn something or feel less alone.

Like, I see it as a tag on miscecanis posts, I think I’ve even used it myself, but I never actually Questioned it. And in the official (dare I say iconic) post where you coined the term ‘miscecanis’ and ‘miscelupus’, those terms weren’t featured (not even in the reblogs).

So I was wondering:

1) do you know who coined the term(s) ‘miscefelis’ and ‘misceanimalis’? Was that also you, but just in a later post?

2) What’s your interpretation of those terms? My best interpretation of it is ‘omegaverse lifestyle but it’s not wolf/dog inspired’ but now I’m doubting myself

I was not the one that coined miscefelis or misceanimalis, and unfortunetly I also do not know who did. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than one person at the same time, or if it had many points of origin. Because le'ts be real, my lousy latin construction of Miscecanis and Miscelupus wasn't that difficult to branch out from hahahahaah. They seem to me just like natural progressions. And as I interpret them is: Miscefelis: People that may identify with A/B/O but not necessarily with the more canine/dog-like behaviours and would rather mantain the poise of felines because it suits them better within the verse. Misceanimalis: This to me is like saying "miscellaneous²" hahaha. When you have too many characteristics from too many different animals to pin it down as just one. Birds, reptiles, canines, felines, etc. So you use this catch-all term. If you're still in doubt on what the hell it's all this miscecanis thing ahahaha I'll link you to this question I just answered that kind of sums it all up and has links to other things related to it I made in the past.

Miscealine / Miscealien is a term for miscecanis verses revolving around alien-like behaviors/beings.

This is probably a really niche experience, but hey it's ours so! The flag is pretty shamelessly just an edited version of @omegai 's verse flags, so I hope that's okay :P

Well to some in the community they call it making a den when alphas nest. Imo just use whatever terminology you like best, but if you want to find other alphas like you def look up the tag!

As for a kitty cat who makes a den, I'd imagine it's cozy and dark. Like a hooded cat bed. There's also a little bit of catnip in there for enrichment and fun :3. One or two stuffies from their Omega or betas, but they much prefer plush blankets and pillows to make biscuits on.
