Can I ask for a specific piece of Floofty dialogue please? It’s when you’re trying to get them back to Snaxburg and they say “despite your general ignorance, you have been of use to me. Good job!” It’s for completely normal, hetero reasons ;)

Fun fact: Before I exported this audio, I was mostly fiddling around in Audacity testing out audio filters. Be very grateful I didn't upload a version with a LOT of reverb by accident.

A Quick Update on My End of Things

Hi, all! Hope everyone's having a great New Year's so far. I just wanted to briefly catch everyone up to speed with where I am and progress being made on the audio posting.

I wanna quickly apologize for the sudden stop in audio. First, it was mostly because I came down with a bad case of seasonal blues, but even when that started to simmer down, I've been busy with getting ready for midterms.

However, I wanna try and get some audio posted by the end of the week, mostly to have that weight off of my conscience. Thanks for all your patience and understanding! I should be up to speed in a while ^_^

Have you posted those little voice snippets that play when you open letters from the grumps? I need them for reasons unrelated to the bugsnax visual novel that i am not making

Hmm, if my memory serves right, most of the clips upon receiving letters are clips taken from when you snakify them. I actually DID have those clips saved in my editing program, but I never got around to exporting it and uploading it. I’d say they’re almost done? I just haven’t added Eggabell’s.

I do remember some of the lines that play when you walk up to the Grumpuses play when you open a letter, so here’s a link to that right here! Looking for stuff in the miscellaneous tag may also help you.

When all else fails, look through the audio Google Drive made by @/snaksquatch! It is an absolute LIFESAVER and is why all of the audio is on this blog in the first place. You can probably use some lines and repurpose them for Definitely Not Visual Novel Reasons.

For a while, I’ve been thinking of slightly editing the audio posts for everything related to the DLC. Usually, I categorize audio by the context they’re in (for example, music, story events, quests), but I think by making a tag specifically for DLC uploads will be much easier to find stuff specifically for the DLC.

I’ve been thinking on making a post detailing how the tagging system works anyways, but I want a second opinion before I add this tag without warning.

Can you do the audio clip of Triffany when she describes Floofty as “smart as a whip and twice as painful”? On my first playthrough on the DLC, I chose Chandlo as the smartass answer but I don’t know how I missed out on that!

“Well, you know Floofty: they’re smart as a whip and twice as painful, haha! I feel like they expect more outta me than I can give, though…”

I love the strange little friendship between Triffany and Floofty. If memory serves me right, they don't seem to interact much outside of the end of Triffany's side quest and the "Major Celebration" story event. It's a real shame, because the dynamic between a quirky middle-aged lady and a cynical smartass has a lot of potential to be really fun.

Can you do the one clip at the end of Floofty’s side quests where they say it’s hard to get everyone to understand them and they get frustrated? It just hits close to home for me and I just think they’re neat 👉👈

"It's pitiful, isn't it? [sighs] I can rearrange fibrous tissue with electrostatic waves, but I cannot convince my own brother to help me. My work should stand for itself! I shouldn't need to put so much effort into explaining myself! But it does take effort. With the others it is simple: I can write them off as ignorant, frightened children... [sighs] But not Snorpy. I know he's not a coward or a fool, which means that the error is mine. I cannot make myself understood, so I lose patience... and I give up on understanding. And perhaps that... is cowardice on my part."

Not sure what's up with the audio clipping out in the end, but oh well.

I remember going into the game, I initially REALLY didn't like Floofty because of how cold they are. But I can definitely say they've warmed up to me after a while. I can definitely relate to their frustrations of wanting to be understood despite others' preconceived notions.

Floofty's got issues, but then again, so does 85% of the cast, so that's not a fair judgement to make.
