Hello, everyone! We're just quickly popping in to share this year's ARTMY Sketchruary 2019! The sketching starts on the first of February. Feel free to join and use the tag #ARTMYSketchruary on Twitter and/or Intagram so we could see the progress of your drawing! Have fun practicing!
We are now calling this as ARTMY's Sketchruary because we want to focus more on the variety of prompts that we could provide for you to practice without requiring to draw BTS in it. But it is definitely OKAY if you want to draw related with BTS!
The main point here is that we want you to enhance your sketching whether you use in traditional or digital. Erasures are now acceptable, feel free to express with your drawing as long as the official prompts are included. NSFW are not allowed.
Most of the prompts are concrete ideas so you can easily draw the concept but if you want to expand the idea of a prompt, then it's okay as well!

ARTMY BACKGROUND
Who thought of the idea?
ARTMY used to be BTSinktober created by Lunadide a.k.a. Nadi. Started off with a small concept that had BTS related prompts for inktober, many have engaged in the activity until it became quite big! And so, Nadi thought of doing stuff outside inktober as well. With the help of other artists and friends, there then she come up with the idea of: A.R.T.M.Y.
What is ARTMY?
ARTMY is basically a mix between “art” and “A.R.M.Y.” (BTS’ fandom name). Here in the community, you can find activities like drawing contests, promos, commissions, art collaborations, AUs (alternative universe) and of course, many artists!
When did it start?
ARTMY debuted on September 27, 2016.
Where did it first appear?
ARTMY first launched on Twitter.
How can I join?
You can join by tagging your BTS fan art that you created with #BTSARTMY on Twitter. Anyone is welcome to participate, share their artwork and use different creative medium as long as the topic refers to BTS!

You may NOT steal the art and claim it as your own.
You may NOT take the art for commercial use.
You may NOT trace nor plagiarize the art of someone else and/or references.
You may NOT use the art as an icon/header with no credit nor authorization.
Try NOT to heavily reference from someone else’s artwork.
Do NOT send negative comments to the artists. As well as discussing inappropriate contents. If you don’t like it, then ignore it and continue living your life.
Do NOT ask for free art unless it is stated you can do so.
Do NOT force things you want to commission onto the artist.
Try to avoid quoting tweets. RETWEET + COMMENT instead.
Support each other’s art as much as you can.

GENERAL RULES
(Part. 2: Retweeting)
We will NOT retweet drawings that are HIGHLY NSFW (18+ content), and inappropriate contents that we may find triggering such as violence, gore, etc. However, we may consider SFW kiss only.
We will avoid retweeting captions that contains very strong language (cursing). But if you really wish to include such words, you may cut-off the vowel letters / alternate curses / replace the usage of vowel words by substituting to asterisk/s. **Kindly understand that we want this community to be a comfortable platform to our followers/readers, and we do not intend to offend anyone.
We may only retweet posts that has BTS artwork related.
Always put your own signature/watermark in your artwork, whether it may be just a simple sketch or finished piece.
We can retweet any event posts as long as it regards to BTS (i.e., exhibits, charitable donations, contests, giveaways, zine publishing). You may send us a message via Direct Message if you want us to retweet your post. We will help you promote the event!

Sketchruary tag is for every month of February. This activity is to challenge yourself by sketching the given prompts as you try to lessen/avoid the amount of erasures.

BTS Inktober happens every month of October. This is to enhance your skill in lineart. From the title itself, INK, so you need to draw the allotted prompts using in ink. It doesn't matter if you prefer by real pen or in digital pen. Just have fun practicing!

Use this tag to promote your shop and/or BTS merchandise you are selling. This is specifically for artists' artworks and no furthermore.

Terms and Conditions
APPLICATION FORM (ART COLLAB)
In ARTMY Community, we also do annual art projects. Art collaboration is one of the common activities we usually do, and this is a fun way of an activity to join! Not only your artwork will be added into our ARTMY collections, but you will also enjoy special themes to draw as well as getting to know fellow ARTMYs.
The main objective of our art collaboration is to post artworks all together based by the artist’s chosen theme from the project.
These are the terms of agreement between ARTMY and the ARTMY Team. We highly recommend to read everything stated in here before joining in our collaboration project.
PART 1: RULES AND GUIDELINES
A) First and foremost, before you join and fill out the application form, we encourage you to read the Rules and Guidelines in full, or at least are already familiar with all its information if you are really willing to participate in the activity/project.
B) We expect to believe that you understood everything what is stated in the Rules and Guidelines once you have agreed the last page of our form. We will inform you right away if there will be some changes and/or updates in our policy.
C) You are not allowed to cancel/withdraw when you have already submitted the form. However, we may consider you changing a theme, category or a collaboration if there are still available slots left. You must inform us right away so we can verify it.
D) Please provide the right information what is being asked in the form. We may use your nickname and/or username for feature purposes.
PART 2: WARNING LIST & BLACKLIST
A) This list contains people that appear to be not following the deadlines on time. There are a total of three (3) warnings that you can obtain. Thus receiving 3 warnings will automatically place your name in the blacklist and you will be banned from joining in our future projects. Although you may still join in an activity by tagging your artworks in our official tags and we will be willing to retweet it!
B) Missing a deadline will lead you to 1ST WARNING, therefore, you will lose one (1) turn to join in an upcoming project. You may, however, participate in the next project right after you lose a turn. Same follow-on rule if you immediately acquired two (2) WARNINGS in full strike. You still have to wait for the 2 WARNINGS to be void in order for you to participate again.
C) If you missed the deadline of PRE-DEADLINE and OFFICIAL POST, it will be an automatic of 2 WARNINGS already.
D) Officially canceling your submitted application form will directly give you 2 STRIKE WARNINGS as well.
E) MIA (Missing In Action) after 24 hours following the OFFICIAL POST will immediately place you in the blacklist. Though we may consider a valid excuse; we allow at least 2 days only for you to post your art collab. Remember that the purpose of this art collaboration is to post artworks all together at the same time of date!
F) If you tend to completely ignore all the rules, expect that you will be immediately banned without warning. Please be aware with everything before filling out the form.
[NOTE]: We ask for your full cooperation for this and kindly respect our rules and guidelines. We, ARTMY Team, are working our very best to organize these projects to give everyone an opportunity to join, provide better contents, and have a fun experience. If you think you will not actually meet/disapprove with all the said agreements, then might as well just give that opportunity to others who are willing to participate. Thank you!

ARTMY FANBOOK 2017
The first ever ARTMY fanbook entitled “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work" was for BTS’ 4th anniversary.
The fanbook was done by 81 artists and it consists of all BTS songs — including from 2 Cool 4 Skool to You Never Walk Alone era.

ARTMY WINGS CONTEST
ARTMY had its first contest event on 2016. The Grand Prize winner received a secondhand Wacom Intuos tablet donated by Nadi, while the 2nd and 3rd Runner-Up winners received a free ARTMY fanbook “Team Work Makes The Dream Work” with photocards.
The pictures shown above are arranged accordingly to Grand Winner > 2nd Runner-Up > 3rd Runner-Up. You can view the artist’s artwork together with the description of their concepts.
