Silver crossed his arms and listened to Wanda as she spoke. All the while his eyes were focused up at the stars that twinkled in the clear desert night sky. "I never thought that when humans would meet aliens, that it would be like this. I always believed in other lifeforms on other planets. But I didn't think we'd be sharing the same bodies with them." he commented before he dropped his gaze to the earth beneath his feet. "What do the souls do when they have a human who's brain isn't exactly...functional?" he asked, turning his gaze to her.

Brody's eyes lowered to the ground, and he took a seat on a large rock. "Yeah..sometimes I do." he nodded weakly. "Infact, all the time I wish I could be something else than what I actually am. And, I guess, in ways, I kind of am like a soul." he glanced back at the entrance of the cave where the human's hid from their changed world.
"I've..heard about you and Melanie. How she could still speak to you with her mind when you both shared the same body..sometimes she could even control it." Brody turned to her, his brows quivering. "Did the souls have a way to fix that..? Is there some way you can remove a voice from your head?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly. For too long he had to suffer Silver's companionship. He was willing to do anyrhing to end it.

"Uhh, I don't know really... I just feel more comfortable with them in." Brody shrugged with a sigh. "I'm used to wearing them every day, and I guess its just become a habit." he really didn't have an excuse for wearing them. But for the past four years they were the only thing keeping him from being taken by the souls. They had sort of become a part of him.

Brody’s brows furrowed in confusion as he listened to Wanda. Who sent him here? Someone to report to?
He slowly folded his arms and looked down at his feet, pursing his lips as he thought for a couple of moments. "My name is Brody. And I agree, human’s have every right to…
"Help…? Wait, hang on Wanda I don’t have a soul in my head. I’m completely human." he frowned as he contemplated how he was going to explain to her. "My eyes glow from contact lenses. I don’t have a soul in me. It was just a disguise for…well, when I’m trying to hide from the seekers." he ran a hand through his hair and glanced down at the lantern Wanda had brought with her. "They reflect light, like your eyes do. I have the scar aswell but that was from a failed implant..my head isn’t really suitable for souls." he didn’t know how to explain all this to her. He had no idea if she even believed him. Maybe she’d think he was just a confused soul who had fooled itself into believing it was human. Or maybe she’d think that the soul was being manipulated by the body’s previous human host.

Brody watched the woman as she turned and raised the lantern. He rose his brows in surprise when his own eyes met hers. Her own iris' reflected the light of the lantern. She was a soul too. There were only two souls he knew of in the caves, and he recognised Wanda from the few times he had seen her in the caves. Many people talked about her and her story. She seemed to be quite the celebrity amongst the community. But Brody had never actually talked with her face to face. He blinked when he realised he had spent too much time thinking rather than answering Wanda's question. "Uh, yeah. I'm here alone." he nodded quickly and glanced around as he put his hands in his pockets. "You're Wanda, right?" Brody contemplated on whether or not he should just tell her he's not a soul, or take time to explain it.

Brody glanced over his shoulder at the woman again when he heard her speak. He hadn't heard what she said, but her tone sounded weary, and he knew she wasn't speaking to him. He hesitated before he slowly stood and ran a hand through his hair, contemplating how he could approach her without scaring her. "Uhh..are you alright?" he called, cringing as he thought she would probably jump from hearing a voice come from the darkness. He hoped she wouldn't lift the lantern to see his face, as he knew he had his reflective contacts in. They'd probably think he was a soul and either freak out or try and kill him.

Brody glanced up and smiled as he spotted Arianna. "Hey, how are you?" he asked, glad that someone had come along that vould distract him from Silver's morbid thoughts. He glanced up at Bobby beside him and rose a brow. He'd seen this guy around before, but he hadn't talked to him much. "Yeah, sure." Brody smiled as he moved his book out of the way to make room for Bobby's tray. Brody glanced at Ian as he ran to hug his sister, and took a sip from his drink that had been resting by his forearm.
Brody stiffened though and slowly set down his glass when Ian questioned the bruises on Arianna's arms. No doubt they were from the fight Arianna and Silver had in the storage caves. Brody swallowed and ran a hand through his hair as he glanced up at Ian and Arianna, unsure if he should say something or not.

Brody had been sitting outside long before the sun had set. He had found his way out of the caves during yet another one of his aimless wanders around the cavern's. He hadn't been outside in almost a month, and it was relaxing to finally feel the soft, cold night desert breeze against his skin, and be able to look up at the night sky again.
Brody stiffened where he sat cross legged behind a small ridge close enough to the cave's entrance. He could hear someone approaching, and surely enough, a few seconds later, the light of a lantern caught his attention at the edge of his vision.
He could make out the shape of another person about twenty feet away from him. He watched her for a moment as she sat down, contemplating on whether he should try and talk to her or just stay quiet and remain where he was, hopefully going unnoticed by the other cavedweller.
Wanda had had a long day of hard work. Not that she complained, it was good to have her hands full with something. Only that when she got tired, it also made room for safer thoughts to enter her mind. She started once again, like she had done several times before, to think of her family. Her soul...

Silver sliced through another heap of wheat, dumping it beside the rest of his pile. He tried not to think about what was happening around him, just to focus on his work. It was the best way to try to forget what has been happening over the past couple of weeks, espically with-
Silver stiffened in mid bend to slice another heap of wheat. "Lucy...?" he said breathlessly and almost inaudibly. Her voice. She had been missing for so long, and the fear of what had happened to her ate away at his conscience. So many times he had contemplated going to search for her, through the caves, out in the desert. Even in the nearby cities. But he didn't want to believe she was gone. Maybe she was just avoiding him?
Brody slowly glanced around, and he couldn't ignore that pang of joy, relief, regret and fear in his heart. He had missed her so much. Much more than he wanted to admit. He knew he had feeling's for her. But he had no idea that they were this strong. It was taking all of his efforts just to hold back from crying with joy.
"Lucy." he breathed again, but louder this time. He dropped the sickle and was by her side in a single step, pulling her into his arm's and hugging her tightly. "Oh god Lucy I'm so sorry.." he whispered, his voice trembling slightly. "I wanted to come and find you.. I was beginning to think that.." he shut his mouth and cringed, realising that Lucy may not have exactly wanted his arm's around her. He hesitated before dropping his arms to his sides. "Sorry, its just..well I missed you."
Brody hefted a large armful of freshly cut wheat onto his shoulder and trudged through the field to set it down in the largely growing pile of cut wheat stalks that the people working on the fields had gathered up that morning.

Self Control (Starter for Ian, Bobby and Arianna)
(Sorry I haven't been on for a ehile but heres a starter for the 4way rp thing we were gonna do :) )
Brody sat at a table in the foodhall near enough to the kitchen's, where he could hear many of the cavedwellers rushing to prepare dinner for the community of human rebel's.
He ran a hand through his hair and stared down at a book he had been reading. Or, that he had been trying to read. So far he had been sitting her for an hour and barely had enough concentration to get through a couple of paragraph's. Silver was wreaking havoc in his mind. Not letting him rest.
'What about a hammer? Do you know how many heads I could pop with one of those things? Oh, or a crowbar.' 'SILVER STOP THINKING ABOUT KILLING EVERYONE I'M TRYING TO READ!' Brody yelled back at him in his head. 'Whoa, sheesh. Keep it down Mr. Cranky...oh wait what about those sickles used for the harvest. Slice a good few throats with that, eh?' Silver mocked Brody with a vicious tone. Eventually, Brody just gave up and slammed the book shut, rubbing his eyes with his thumb and forefinger to try to calm himself. 'Silver I swear to god...' 'What about a pickaxe-' 'NO.'

The Harvest ||Open rp
Brody hefted a large armful of freshly cut wheat onto his shoulder and trudged through the field to set it down in the largely growing pile of cut wheat stalks that the people working on the fields had gathered up that morning.
The fields were quite crowded at this time of the morning, because of the harvesting. Everyone who was awake was giving a helping hand to collect the wheat and replant the field afterwards.
Brody returned to where he had been slicing the wheat with a well sharpened sickle. He began to cut at it again, swiping the sickle through the stalks of the wheat like a knife through butter. Working on the fields was tiring, but Brody enjoyed it. It distracted him from many of the problems he was facing lately, and it was also a great place to talk to the other cavedwellers.

Brody met her eyes when she backtracked towards him. His own lips curled into a soft smile and he nodded slowly. "Thank you, Melanie." he breathed, his voice filled with relief. Brody watched her leave, his eyes never leaving her untill she disappeared into the darkness of the tunnel.
A deep, quiet laugh escaped Brody's lips. The sound was mischievous and almost evil sounding. It sounded unnatural coming from his mouth.
"I think I can be you very well, eh Brody?" Silver's voice husked. "She never suspected a fucking thing. I think I can get used to this type of manipulation." Silver ran a hand through Brody's hair, and began to move Brody's body as if it were his own. But it was his own now. Brody was nothing but a screaming voice in the back of his head. 'STOP THIS!' Brody cried deep in his mind. 'LEAVE THESE PEOPLE ALONE!'
"Oh but Brody, my fun has just begun." Silver hummed as he strolled down the hall towards the fields, spinning a knife between his fingers that he had retrieved from the back of his belt. "Its easy to gain the trust of these people. Let's see how long it takes them to realise they've been fooled."

Brody ran a hand through his hair and nodded slowly. "Okay, yeah. I should get to the fields." he mumbled, more to himself then to Melanie. He stood to the side to let her past. "Just, please promise me you won't tell anyone." he breathed, fearful that Silver will discover peoples knowledge of him and decide it would be entertaining to try and kill them.

Melanie was trying to understand. He could see it in her face, but he knew that even for her this was something rather far fetched to stretch her head around.
Brody's stiffened shoulders relaxed greatly when she reassured him that she would take no action in warning Jeb of his condition, meaning he wouldn't have to suffer the consequences. "Thank you, Melanie." he breathed a sigh of relief.
Her pleads had caught him off guard, the sincerity in her face giving clear indication of the devotion she held towards her family. "I promise.." he whispered, his voice quiet. "I promise I won't let that bastard touch another family again.." Brody grimaced as surpressed memories tore through his mind like a tsunami. He ran a hand down his face as he exhailed slowly, straightening his back to relieve painful tension that had been building up in it. "I won't let him touch another person. Never."
