Online Experience
In my experience of online class all i can say is waw. Why waw? Because everything just caught me off guard, from face-to-face to just sitting home and listening to discussions in my room. Right now as my batch's school year is about to end, everything for me just felt much more difficult. All these became such a mental weight down without being with friends due to the current condition of the world. Compared to the pre-pandemic days, being around people helped my mental condition because I had people to talk to besides my family. I feel more relieved talking to my friends rather than my parents. Staying at home for me personally, is a place for me to relax and do things I love to do like entertaining myself with games or by watching anime or shows. It was fun, memorable, stressful, and exciting every time I joined the class.
Online classes in my experience can be quite rattling at times. Although it's true that education is maintained in an odd fashion, it does not ignore the fact that it becomes quite difficult to manage once the tasks pile up. Including the fact that being lazy in an area where I relax most of the time like sleeping and such. Even with all those terrible moments in my journey, some are still worth remembering for a while: When my classmate confessed that he liked a girl in our class in front of the whole class. When I felt joy around my new classmates who are now considered friends. When I was surprised that I had a classmate who shared the same last name as mine. Looking back at every memorable moment, it made me grateful for everyone that has been with me through my journey in online class. Assuming that this method stays in the next school, I am more than confident that they will be beside me once more.
Face-to-face classes were more convenient for us to do our school works because the work is always given with reference books and ample time to work on them. It helped me personally ease my stress on what to do or what I have to do. It also helped stabilize my mental health by being around my friends. On the other hand it was not an effective way to understand the topics for me. Compared to before, us students could easily do something else during discussions, for example to scroll through Facebook using our phones or to eat food at the dinner table. Another major example would be those students who would sleep during classes as if there was no tomorrow. In conclusion, it was better to learn things in face-to-face class-discussions compared to online class. This is due to the fact that I found more benefits than setbacks in face-to-face classes.
