Acotar is a trilogy, and ACOFAS + ACOSF are FANFICTIONS that SJM created for fun. Her editor discovered these while she was ✨drunk✨ and convinced her to publish them.

This to me makes sense as we are not really seeing as much of Feyre in the last two books. The trilogy is about Feyre, but the stories of the background of the other characters/after ACOWAR are just “one offs” if you will.

Tbh this to me is not a “theory” but a fact-the OP of the tik tok mentioned some interviews that SJM had where she talks about this- about the series. For me it takes away a bit of the magic ACOTAR.
