hi okay so Meursault was awesome in canto vi and I was going to make a post about him but I found something more interesting

Very ironic of them to use the words "judged" and "judgement" considering his entire profile is "Wants clear and concise commands, requiring no judgement on his part." He's been making judgements for a while, but this is probably the clearest it's been how much he's grown from the pre-Hell's Chicken "barely saying anything at all" Meursault. He cares about the others :)

But the interesting thing here is how Outis is the first to respond and agree

It was established back in Canto IV that Outis actually values Meursault's opinion, but also, so far, Outis has pretty consistently been like "we'll keep pushing forward because we're not COWARDS and BABIES" while holding little to no sympathy for the other sinners. Something's different here

thinking about heathcliff's "favorite color" being black as a representation of his contempt for the culture of district 20 – the indistinguishable blend of every color and what is inevitable in the nest's endless pursuance of the full spectrum of commodified color as a symbol of status.

in turn, ishmael has a relationship with color herself – white, often viewed opposite of black, is oppressive and consumes all color into itself, symbolic of the dissolution of individual identity because, at the end of the day, the spectrum of "white light" contains all colors within it, so red, blue, etc may as well just be considered aspects of white. in addition, it is a symbolic lack of color opposite to black's overwhelming mixture.

the two express a relationship with color – with ishmael equating lack of color to identity being stolen, and heathcliff implied to have formed his identity around the commodification of color.

GUMROAD IS BANNING NSFW CONTENT IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS

I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet, so I might as well.

They've updated their content policy to comply with payment processor Stripe and Paypal's censorhip. They gave 24 hours. On March 16th 2024, Gumroad TOS will no longer allows sales of any written or drawn nsfw content.

This is going to hurt for so many creators. Giving that little time leaves people's source of income wildly unstable, especially with such a huge overhaul of what content is allowed.

I hate this. I hate what censorship is turning the internet into. I hate that nsfw content creators keeo getting pushed to the fringes, that they need to digitally migrate so often, because nowhere can be trusted to allow their art for long.

I don't know what to do next, there isn't some sort of "here's what you can do to help!" People just deserve to know.

Expose is much better than I thought it'd be!

(Spoilers below)

I was kinda concerned at how simple it started out in part 1, but it picked up really fast, and now it's lowkey one of my favorites! I'm getting a lot of Estero Harbor vibes from it, and I think that's what the devs are trying to do with Tangton.

But unlike Estero Harbor.....the story's actually a lot better and interesting.

Part 3 is hands-down the best part, and we got some....VERY yummy Ikki moments 🍽 JUST LOOK AT THESE! He's so pookie, but he's a sad pookie....wants to avenge his dad so bad.

And Su Jue jumpscared me, but it was a much appreciated jumpscare

It was so nice to see everybody from Farewell Fireworks again! Really makes the espers in Tangton feel like one family trying to work together against all the esper-racism conspiracies going on

So, here's my theory as to what's gonna happen next:

-Fu Shi is coming next. Leaks point to it, and the devs pretty much confirmed it. He's gonna be real important player in the story. Idk what he's gonna do exactly, but I have a gut feeling it's gonna be huge.

-Floating hottie with the spheres is most likely gonna be the final piece of the puzzle here. Again, idk what he's gonna do, but I hope it's important. All I hope is that they actually use him as a character (I don't want my bbg to be useless in the lore!)

-This whole "Tangton-being-the-next-Estero-Harbor" will definitely end when celestial anomaly ends for 2 reasons:

1-the estero harbor stuff ended at event story #4 (Farrah's)

2-it'll be 2nd anniversary time, and the CN server will no longer be newbies in terms of how long they've been in Dislyte

I'm really excited for the upcoming stories, along with pulling for characters. I'm currently saving for floating sphere babygirl, but if I get lucky and get enough wishstones in time, I MIGHT splurge for Fu Shi too...

oh and these are my inferno record savings watch me NOT get a legendary from them, like what happened with my flow records💀

Anyways, sorry for this giant essay of a post. This is probably the longest post I've ever made, but tbh....that's what happens when you're excited about your interest. You type, and then realize you've written a book.

Really cataloging every Aurelius-related tidbit I see. This is way back in Alexa's Swiftspace account if you have level 5 trust with her.
