It’s Halloween time so I decided to finally draw something for an otgw au I had stuck in my head for some time now. I don’t know it’s just funny for me to imagine Greg showing the Beast around the town in his unique childish manner and the Beast having the angst of his life at the same time.

Honestly you could probably use this idea for any and all fandoms since it's like Who Framed Roger Rabbit and about toons and humans. like maybe they go around solving Mysteries for different characters or something like that

 since humans are a thing too you could also even bring in fandoms that are about relatively normal humans or at least like flesh and blood people and not Toons

In this AU the Show was never published, not even done, leaving some puppets to not be complete, sewed with all their details and stuff

Each of the puppets are missing something that was apart of their character

Leaving Wally with no face sewed in - Wally is the face of welcome home. His smile and eyes are iconic. He may not be able to see. But wally can sure hear well. Also home is incomplete and not safe to be in. (Cue, Wally falling through holes in his floor everyday)

Eddie is missing his arms. Bc he uses it to carry packages and things. However he makes up for it with his legs bc he runs/a mailman and relies on his legs to get to designated destinations.

Howdy ...was originally going to be missing most of his arms. I later changed it so he has two heads and more arms. Combining his earlier concepts together instead of taking away. His is technically in a way not missing anything so he doesn't hunt for spare parts.

Barnaby doesn't have a mouth either like Julie. Meaning he can't do jokes. He's morbid and less friendly. He talks via through a puppet that he made from a scrap piece of fabric.

Frank is missing an arm Because he gardens a lot. Frank is frankly far from being complete. On surface level he may seem closer than most to perfection but he lacks the cotton insides like the rest of the neighbors. His love for bugs has unfortunately added into his incompleteness.

Julie tried replacing his bugs with flowers but the bugs ate them

Julie can't speak, because her ability is to talk to flowers. This leads to her being down in the dumps a lot. She doing way better off than her siblings however.

Sally is missing her rays. Making her incomplete and not special. She says in dark areas for the most part.

Poppy doesn't have wings meaning can't bake and hug people (Poppy is probably the most colorful one ngl/pos) she also has rows and rows of SHARP teeth.

this AU IS dangerous to go in, because all the puppets are going a little wacky trying to rip off the limbs they need off of the people that go in

and since one body only has so much on them (that being only one mouth 2 limbs etc...) they all fight with each other to claim the parts

Howdy simply collects parts to sell to the others.

While Alastor’s assistance to the hotel may have started out as an obligation or an opportunity To get out of it, it's clear that working at the hotel is just adding to his need for freedom. Not merely to be free from servitude either, but to get away from Charlie and the others specifically.

Because as much as he may have grown fond of the cast, Alastor has shown consistently that he's not the type to stick around, to the point where I’m starting to believe that he’s actively avoiding planting roots.

Let's look at his two most positive relationships we've seen from him.

Mimzy initially gets the warmest reaction from Alastor in the first five episodes. Even when he tells her to leave, his doing so was nowhere near the furious reception that Charlie’s dad got. He even acknowledges that he knew what Husk said was true: that she specifically sought him out to clean up her mess. This implies that he doesn't even seem to mind that “she only comes around when she wants something.”

Aside from the fact that she probably even brings him entertainment with her own mischief and the bad types chasing her, he clearly doesn’t mind someone who’s a little “trouble” since that makes her a kindred spirit.   Notice as well that he didn't deny that little "You love taking care of me!" line.

But perhaps he also doesn't mind this treatment because it means that he can keep her at a healthy distance while he seeks out his own entertainment and reputation.

Then there's Rosie, who might be even better for him since she can clearly hold her own to the point that she can shape up an entire colony. She acknowledges that she missed him when he showed up, but her reaction is relaxed enough to tell me that she's used to him coming and going as he pleases. She doesn't even make the same kind of comment that Zestiel does about being afraid that he was dead.

I think it's also worth noting that he isn't apparently considered the co-leader of the cannibal colony alongside Rosie even though he easily could. Dude has the power obviously, and he has the respect of both the cannibals and the primary leader. Just saying, if anybody has a chance of running Rosie's Emporium with her without the risk of getting his name crossed out, it's Al.

The point is both of these relationships are such that while they're close they aren't all together clingy and Alastor doesn’t have to regard them as a weakness or even an anchor.

In addition to that, we've also seen him outright deny teaming up with the Vees. And idk, he really could just hate TV that much, but I couldn't help but notice it fits into this pattern.

Even Husk and Nifty are literally in a position where he can call them whenever he decides and are presumably left to live their lives outside of that.

Then there's Charlie and the gang. Okay, I believe he likes them, you (probably) believe he likes them. Whether or not you're sold on him being completely redeemed or not, it's clear he's probably experiencing some kind of change. And he's going through it kicking and screaming. 

But what I believe separates his affiliation with the hotel with his other relationships is simply that one way or another he feels chained to it. Even if this is some long game he's playing to use as a back door, there's a reason he stuck around as long as he has.

 And I think that's killing him inside.

This is a man who’s either used to batting away antagonism with a flick of his clawed hands or else not feeling the need to take any responsibility due to embracing a reputation of evil.

He's shown to have no problem with the fluffy positive side of relationships, but I think he hates being shown as caring about anything to the point where something bothers him.

Given everything we're shown in the Hazbin universe, I have to wonder if there would eventually be no difference between the two afterlives if things were to continue unchecked.

Because I think traces of Roo’s influence have already "taken root."

I don't even feel the need to go through a bunch of evidence or speculation.

Just the imagery of Sera with literal fire reflected in her eyes while giving a half-sad, half-creepy smile is self-evident.

Then there’s Adam.

Just… Adam. :/

Regardless of what Alastor's end goals are, there is one quote that I believe sums him up perfectly rn.

"Good guys... Bad guys... Victory goes to the grey man in the middle because you never know how he'll surprise you."

His actions aren't wicked all the time and I bet it's because he doesn't see the point. Even if he's all about himself, being evil and sadistic all the time probably isn't something he sees as beneficial all the time. if antagonizing everyone isn't even entertaining, he won't do it. If he genuinely likes someone, it's in his best interest to get along with them, ect.

Wilbur Soot (DSMP, cuz apparently he does that and it's a recurring joke in the fandom?)

Logan Sanders (Sanders Sides; that one scene in the jam ep where Roman goes "I'm a prince, he's a teacher, just look at him! He's so cool!" And Logan's just consuming jam at a rate that would make Winnie the Pooh jealous)

Anyways, the point is, I'd nominate either or both of these men to be future Doctor incarnations :3 /hj
