What a lovely day I’ve had!

Turned 28! Opened presents from my mum, which included a Pokemon Elite Trainer Box, a pair of Converse shoes and some other little bits

Then we had brunch at a local farm shop before heading to Wollaton Hall for a long walk there, then on the way home we stopped off at a shop where I buy all my faux leather to see if they had any in stock - they didn’t, but the staff member ordered it in.

Then I played on minecraft for a little while before my brother and his husband came round for tea which was pizza and sides!

And we watched the Video Game BAFTAs which were a lot of fun, congrats to all the nominees and winners, especially Andrew Wincott who voiced one of my favourite characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 - Raphael! He deserved it! He’s awesome!

Now I’m going to have a late night playing BG3!

Then tomorrow, I plan to work on some writing as well as some of my Halsin cosplay ☺️💙

WIP Share!

I was tagged by @sylvienerevarine to share some WIP so here we are…

Sorry, it’s BG3 again 😅💙

Astarion wanted to explore the cause of the noises from the barn. Karlach was just happy to be free, she was skipping around and laughing to herself. Gale was explaining the medicinal properties of the flowers that Karlach had excitedly pointed out. And in the middle of the group, was Sal’theran, who was so caught up keeping an eye on her trio of chaos creators, she failed to notice a middle aged human man approaching them

“My, my, what manner of place is this?” Sal’theran spun around to look at the man; about Gales build, wearing a blue doublet that had red sleeves and the whole thing was trimmed with gold accents, his hair was dark brown with a slight hint of grey in places, with dark brown eyes, and Sal’theran could have sworn that his skin had a hint of red to it. “A path to redemption? Or a road to damnation? Hard to say, for your journey’s just beginning” the man gave her an easy smile as he spoke, a shiver ran up Sal’theran’s spine as she had the odd feelings that she’d seen this man before. “What would suit the occasion? The words to a lullaby perhaps?” Sal felt the presence of her new friends standing close by, although this man seemed oddly familiar she still felt safer knowing that she wasn’t alone. “‘The mouse smiled brightly: it out foxed the cat! Then down came the claw, and that, love, was that’” the man laughed to himself, “they do know how to write them in Cormyr don’t they? Well met. I am Raphael. Very much at your service.”

Blossom Plays Baldur’s Gate 3!

I… ok… well my character is now Polyamorous, this was unintentional but it works well for her tbh… I accidentally triggered the Emperor romance and I turned down Mizora’s advances… apparently everyone wants Sal’theran 😆 (and I might cross paths with a certain Incubus)

I’m in the Lower City and I guess I should put the rest of my discussion under a read more because there is a lot more information that are Act 3 spoilers

I have spoken to Gortash and Orin and have told both of them that I’ll kill the other, so I might have stitched up that a little, but we’ll see.

And we’ve started getting more involved with Astarion’s quest line and I’m getting closer to Cazador’s palace!

Isobel and Aylin have left the camp to help their people outside the city

And I think I have a quest to find Minsc? Maybe?

Lots happening now ☺️

WIP Wednesday!

Hi! Hi! I’m actually writing stuff! I know, I’ve surprised myself! 😆

I’ve been consumed by Baldur’s Gate so you’re going to have to deal with some BG3 content for now 😆

Don’t get me wrong, I still want to work on my other fandom stories, but currently I lack the inspiration for them… but at least I’m writing, right? ☺️

My BG3 character has quite an interesting backstory, I’m very happy with it! And it involves a certain charismatic Cambion, hope you like this snippet 💙

She quickly and quietly searched the camp until she saw a figure sitting above the camp by the top of the waterfall, his legs hanging over the edge of the cliff. She knew the path up there so decided to join him.

As she approached from behind she watched him cautiously; he seemed relaxed, the Cambion was leaning back on his hands looking up at the sky, his leathery wings were folded neatly behind his back and the only thing that currently moved was his tail, which flicked every so often, like a content cat.

I have big plans for my character and Raphael, it goes slightly off canon but I don’t care, I think it works well for my story, I’m very excited to properly start working on this ☺️

Blossom Plays Baldur’s Gate 3!

I love this game so much!

My Nature Domain Cleric - Sal’theran - is an absolute unit! I adore her so much!

I’m in Act 3, not quite in Baldur’s Gate itself just yet, but I think I’m close. AND… I’ve just started the Halsin romance which was amazing! Just look at this kiss animation, I’m melting! 🫠 And don’t get me started on his first romance scene 🥴

I don’t know how fast things will escalate once I enter the city, and I might have to ask my brother and his husband for advice when I see them on Wednesday. And I’ll likely not have time to play it until next week now because of work and family commitments.

I’m playing it totally spoiler free so some things are starting to get a bit complicated now. Spoilers under the cut

I’m finding it difficult to know who to trust now in regards to The Emperor and Raphael, in their own ways, both have been with me for the whole journey, obviously The Emperor has been more prominent, but Raphael has also been helpful in his way (helping with Astarion’s personal quest) but now I am very conflicted with who to trust, they are both trying to convince me that the other is a bad idea but I don’t know which is the lesser of two evils

I’ve crossed paths with Orin the Red a few times too, she is very creepy and deranged and I know that someone gets abducted by her at some point so I am very nervous about it, I’m dreading that quest because I have a horrible feeling that it’s going to be Halsin 😭

WIP Someday

I was tagged by @miraakulous-cloud-district to share something, they tagged my on Wednesday but I haven’t had chance to share anything until now

I’m playing Baldur’s Gate 3 at the moment and I’m absolutely loving it! And I’m wanting to share a story for my OC from my first play through so I’ve been working on that recently, so here is some of it ☺️💙

Halsin looked up as Sal’theran stepped back into the room after being gone for 3 days, she was covered in blood and dirt and something black that Halsin wasn’t sure he’d want to know it’s origin. She looked exhausted, both physically and mentally, as did her travelling companions; Astarion of all people looked the most repulsed by the amount of blood that covered the group, Halsin heard him say to Sal about going to have a bath and he quietly slipped out the room again. Gale was the least caked in gore but that was probably thanks to his ranged spell casting, but his eyes looked as troubled as Sal’s. He couldn’t see Karlach anywhere with Sal and Gale but heard her call to Astarion from somewhere outside.

Halsin stood up as Sal approached, she looked up at him with weary eyes before speaking,

“Pardon the viscera, one should cherish all of nature’s beauty, but whatever the Hell’s I just dealt with is right at the bottom of the list” Halsin smiled briefly, Sal repeated his own words to her from when they first met, but his smile faded quickly.

“Are you alright?” Halsin asked, she nodded, but he was not convinced, he reached over to put a hand on her shoulder. What she did in response concerned him, she flinched away from him

Got in from work at 2:10 this morning, played BG3 for a few hours, then went for a walk before finally setting down for some sleep

Never before has a game gripped me so much that I’ve wanted to stay up through the night to play it!

I love it so much!

In related news, after nearly 32 hours of playing the game Halsin is finally an official party member 🥳

Blossom Plays Baldur’s Gate 3

I have been playing this a lot so I thought I’d share some progress I’ve made so far:

I’ve got into Act 2, without major spoilers (I know a couple of minor things; A little bit of Halsin’s and Astarion’s personal quests, but everything else I’ve managed to avoid)

I’m flirting with Halsin, I do know that I can’t initiate the romance with him until later but I’m definitely flirting with him

I think Astarion is starting to like me, his personal quest is starting to get more prominent now and he actually thanked me for helping him

Karlach definitely likes me, progressed her quest enough

I’ve made my guardian too hot, honestly I didn’t think I liked him at first, I nearly started over to change his appearance but I’m so glad I didn’t because wow… I recently had the “Oh no, he’s hot” meme in my head

The Guardian’ story is very interesting, and I’m curious to see where it it goes from here

I’m so excited to continue the game, I’m loving it so much!

A scene from Baldur’s Gate 3 has been playing in my head today…

After going after the hag in Act 1, I came across an Elf who was so manipulated by the hags magic that he started shouting that I was a mind flayer

And my god the potential for angst in a story from that scene is insane!! 😆
