“You can’t be serious.”Where did this child get sharp objects, of all things?  This town certainly looked upscale on the surface, but it had the same muck that could be a danger to the safety of young-uns all the same as any filth of an urban area.  Normally Vicious wouldn’t bat an eye.  With young Bit, however..  “..Sit down.” 

He certainly wouldn’t have done a thing if she wasn’t so complacent with such a grievous wound.  It’s like she was waiting to get a cough drop.  What frustrated him most of all was that she’d come to him of all people.  Whether anyone was watching, he could feel his soul scaling away same as his face (that being, reputation).  Carefully the mobster tended to those wounds with alcohol swabs and whatever wound care treatment he could find within walking distance.  

“What were you thinking?  Be still and not so flippant.  Curiosity killed the cat, and I won’t do this again.”

He grumbled, Bippy watching the pair whilst perched onto a nearby tree.

The bird cawed with a tinge of glee.
