a certain public domain character was submitted with artwork from an adaption of this character in a different format (specifically, a book character was submitted with artwork from a game that that character appears in). Should I use that artwork? I want people to realize it's the book character being submitted, but I don't know if it will be much of an issue anyway?

i'm at the stage where i'm constructing the bracket now! it might take a while still though so please be patient. unlike last time, i'm just going to do one very large bracket, because it seemed the structure of the previous tournament was a little confusing.

the submissions this time looked very different from last time, in which some characters received a very large number of submissions. this time, no character received more than 2! I suppose this is because there are fewer "iconic" blond sweethearts than there are blond jerks.

Here's a list of the characters that got two submissions who you can look forward to seeing compete soon. Based on the results of this poll I will be hosting the Blond Sweetheart Tourney, a sort of inverse of my last tourney! This is for blond characters that could be called "sweethearts" -- maybe they are exceptionally caring, patient, or have a sweet disposition, etc.

as such, character who won any polls in the last tourney are disqualified for being too jerky. a list of them can be found here VV Submit here VV. rules under cut!

-mcyt allowed but you must defend in the submission form why the character is different from the person playing them, whether they qualify is up to Tourney Master's discretion

i dont know, it depends on how many unique character submissions we get. blond jerk tourney had 128 so if we can hit that number again that would be great. if we don't, then i'll either have to cull some people, or do a weirdly shaped bracket with prelims. we have 73 submissions right now, though some of those are my own (which will be the first to go if i end up culling people). though i'd rather do prelims than just cut submissions out

i was thinking id leave submissions open until about a week from the day i posted the form, assuming the rate of submissions peters out by then. we are still getting a few a day
